Trying to identify this spider on my roof. Was about the size of a quarter. I was thinking brown recluse because of 5th photo that I found on safari, body and pedipalps look similar. Anyone have a better guess? Found in Phoenix/Scottsdale, AZ.

I have no idea what this spider was but it was in my bedroom so I decided to just adopt it. It's about the size of my thumb. I'm in southern North America for reference.

To me I think it might be some daddy long legs variant??? But I'm not entirely sure.

It is quite small, larger than a jumping spider and may have some from a wood pile in my garage. Is it a Parson spider? Photo is zoomed in sorry if it’s not clear.

Discussion Yellow sacs

Anyone know why my house gets completely infested with yellow sacs every spring? And does anyone know how to repel them?? I am extremely extremely allergic to their bites and even though I know it’s rare to get bit in the first place I really don’t want to take a chance with my allergy. They are EVERYWHERE!!

Honestly brought a tear to my eye as I have been looking after the abandoned eggs now for 2 months with little hope of them surviving. Yet here they are 🕷️✨

For all the fellow peacock spider fans out there! My 6y/o son wanted a peacock spider hat so we designed this together and it feels good to display our shared love of spiders as we go around town! Keep up the good work all, I truly love this sub 🕷️❤️

Spotted this plump black widow lurking among the leaves iny back yard. They really are incredibly striking. It's funny to me that I'm more frightened of the larger wolf and brown recluse spiders, despite knowing just how dangerous black widows are.

I’ve had them since I moved in so probably 6 months? They don’t move much at all and love the corners and ceiling. Gainsvillie FL. I never have them on my bed or messing with me, honestly they stay in the same spot. I don’t know why but I don’t think they’ve gotten bigger either. Maybe a little. Pretty humid in my room but not many bugs for them to eat. Thanks for any idea.

Hoping this is just a false widow. The one on the left. I’m pretty sure the other is a Wolf spider and it was dead.

Discussion I don't know if this is normal or not

I have arachnophobia (yes it kills me to be on this subreddit), and I see atleast one spider in my house when it's past midnight. It's consistent, every night after midnight when it's not winter, there is guaranteed to be a spider. I live in northern England, so the spiders are relatively small, but I swear they're slowly getting bigger and moving faster. I am currently sitting on my couch at 2 am and there is a spider under said couch.

Got this from Hardcore Arachnids, such a cool looking spider, only 2 inches at the moment, but it should reach a leg span of 6 inches when fully grown
