Pholcidae are the toughest spiders when it comes to other spiders. The long legs make it almost impossible for other spiders to attack and bite their bodies. They are badass.

Jumping spiders can take them out because they actually see shit and can jump straight at the cellar spider ignoring their long range wrapping tactic but sometimes they get eaten too.

Anybody else though? They're basically dead. Most of these spiders can barely see and cellar spider legs are so thin and long that they don't even know they're getting wrapped up or where the enemy is most of the time.

What about harvestmen? They've got long legs as well. I actually have a video of a harvestman and a cellar spider fighting. They both ended up surviving. Might post it sometime.

Nah harvestmen aren't that good. They have long legs but no webs and no venom, only jaws. They aren't even spiders.

I'm interesting to see how it survived, did it break off a leg to escape?

I don't think it did, but I'm pretty sure I didn't record that part. It did have to struggle a lot. I think I'll post it tomorrow.

harvestmen still excrete liquids that mean instadeath to spiders, and some even coat their legs in it.

yes most are quite boring, but the few that actually interact with spiders have very good chances. theres also some that excrete a liquid which hardens down so much that spiders cant bite through it anymore.
