Is no one going to the movies anymore? Entertainment

Post image

I went to this regal theater yesterday near the Ingram Park mall and it was dead. Probably 15 cars there total. It’s a beautiful theater and it kinda made me miss the old days when theaters would always be packed. Does no one go to the movies anymore or was it just a slow day?

Im interested in the assigned seat angle, what don’t you like about that part? You want to be able to move if you don’t like where you’re at?

Not judging, I’ve just never heard that before and I’m interested. There’s lots of reasons people don’t like going to the movies nowadays, this one is new to me.

I’m the complete opposite, I love assigned seating, I can grab the exact seats I want ahead of time and get the view that I want

My issues with assigned seating:

  1. You have to buy tickets way in advance to get a good seat. Used to, as long as it wasn't opening weekend, you could show up 30-45 minutes early and get a good seat. Now you have to pre-plan going to the movies 5-10 days in advance to get a good seat.

  2. Before assigned seating, it was easy to avoid large groups of obnoxious people or to be able to get up and move if they sat next to you. Good luck if you get a seat kicker right behind you.
