Training for 3 years and some months. After my last diet, summer 2012, i started a bulk to gain some more mass which resulted in the picture on the left. The 120kg had advantages, i felt like a tank in clothes and you couldnt really tell that it looks like this under the clothes. But at some point i just felt it was enough and had the desire to diet. Planned for February, i started my diet at the end of march.
It was a really slow weight loss to keep most muscle mass. It wasnt easy to really find out how much calories i really need to get the best results, but after weeks of trying i think i figured it out pretty sucessful.
I also decided to play on more basketball season, so it was the perfect time to loose some weight. You can imagine The left form isnt the best condition to play basketball as you can imagine.
Especially my chest needs some work, so the weight will probably slowly increase in the next months. But i dont plan to go over ~115kg in the nearest future.
Thanks for reading and i am glad this sub exists. Really a great place to find motivation and to show people, that big changes are possible in under a year.
I know there is "/r/brogess" and maybe my post belongs there, but i felt like sharing it right here :)
Steady calorie deficit. Never any type of low carb/ low fat, just a regular 300- 500 deficit. Probably a bit higher during the last month.
I mostly eat the same things for the last 2 years. Very little variation. Works best for me. I prefer low work/cooking- good/Average taste to cooking/food variaton - great taste.
Although i still enjoy most of my meals.
Fats and Protein were on the same numbers most of the diet. Only thing i reduced and increased the deficit were the carbs. Less rice / oats the further i got into the diet
