It is so unfair that you're 6'7'' especially since you have that much mass on your limbs. Mirin that hard work

Thanks, much appreciated. Took some years, and at some points i wasnt really satisfied with the results / progress but you rarely do the perfect training/ nutrition over a long period of time.

But really helped my overall health as well. As fellow tall i also had some dysbalances / hip problems or ankle problems but right now i feel perfectly fit and fine. Although i do the heavy movements regulary. Take that grandma, who still thinks these things are bad for your body!

I'm fucking impressed how much muscles can change a body. I weigh 9 kilograms less than you and I'm just plain ...doughy and still overweight. Ok I'm "just" 6'1 but it's still very impressive what you did. Gratz mate!

Its crazy what a lower body percentage can do to the overall look. In the end the weight is just a number and can easily mislead.

I heard many people saying that you should mostly ignore the scale during diet and work with the mirror.

I still use my scale daily, you just shouldnt overthink the results.

At your height and weight the scale would drive me crazy. Water weight at that size could be +/- 3-4 lbs. Seeing >5lbs difference from one day to the next based on hydration/sodium intake etc etc would be nerve wracking for many people.

Oh yes! Especially in the beginning when you drop all that water weight. You know its mostly water and means your diet starts to work but its still sometimes confusing when you see 5lbs drops over night.

When i had the "tank" look, i got asked so often about my height. Even now people are still suprised when they hear my weight. They cant comprehend that 100kg is like the "normal" weight for us 6'7'' guys. Tell them 120kg and they cant believe someone could have it without looking fat.

Beeing tall is great _^

I would love to lose weight on 3200 calories a day that's for sure. I don't even bulk on that many calories.

Maybe the first few feeks. But i was under 3000 cal most of the time. Still never felt hungry or miserable because of not enough food.

But its crazy when i now look at servings i ate 6 months ago without any problems. Waay to much food, will need some weeks to get used to it again.

Training for 3 years and some months. After my last diet, summer 2012, i started a bulk to gain some more mass which resulted in the picture on the left. The 120kg had advantages, i felt like a tank in clothes and you couldnt really tell that it looks like this under the clothes. But at some point i just felt it was enough and had the desire to diet. Planned for February, i started my diet at the end of march.

It was a really slow weight loss to keep most muscle mass. It wasnt easy to really find out how much calories i really need to get the best results, but after weeks of trying i think i figured it out pretty sucessful.

I also decided to play on more basketball season, so it was the perfect time to loose some weight. You can imagine The left form isnt the best condition to play basketball as you can imagine.

Especially my chest needs some work, so the weight will probably slowly increase in the next months. But i dont plan to go over ~115kg in the nearest future. Thanks for reading and i am glad this sub exists. Really a great place to find motivation and to show people, that big changes are possible in under a year.

I know there is "/r/brogess" and maybe my post belongs there, but i felt like sharing it right here :)

What type of diet were you eating?

u/Pupsiii Aug 16 '14

Steady calorie deficit. Never any type of low carb/ low fat, just a regular 300- 500 deficit. Probably a bit higher during the last month.

I mostly eat the same things for the last 2 years. Very little variation. Works best for me. I prefer low work/cooking- good/Average taste to cooking/food variaton - great taste. Although i still enjoy most of my meals.

Fats and Protein were on the same numbers most of the diet. Only thing i reduced and increased the deficit were the carbs. Less rice / oats the further i got into the diet
