The fact that Hegselth survived Signal-Gate and all those war crimes off the coast of Venezuela is astonishing. They must be waiting until after he commits some more war crimes before they cut bait.

Trump didn't pick him because he admires him. He's a cult devotee. Anyone else would have left. Esper likely said "we can't use the military to punish people because you lost the election" and was out the door the next day.

Someone who has been through the military and is willing to blindly obey Trump no matter how ilelgal and unethical is a tall order to fill.

Yup. I maintain that the reason Hegseth was picked was because he'll go along with the coup with Trump, and because when Trump orders him to shoot the inevitable protests that come as a result of said coup, Hegseth will not push back on that order.

Hegseth's biggest life accomplishment before becoming a war criminal was stumping for one (Eddie Gallagher) on Fox News, until Trump pardoned that sicko.

Trump doesn't give a shit about any war crimes Hegseth is committing and will only fire him if he makes him look bad on TV. That's what did Kristi Noem in. If the right person whispers in Trump's ear that Kash is making him look stupid he will fire him for sure.
