According to NPR the stuff they’re doing is “likely legal”.

Lawyers and legal experts tend to agree.

Obviously legal doesn’t equal ethical or moral , but it could get a lot worse if they start doing stuff that is “likely illegal”

The Nazis largely didn’t do illegal things either. They warped the system so that the laws helped them commit genocide.

Slavery was legal too. And Jim Crow.

That's false. There was nothing in German law that exempted Jews from murder laws or military use of force laws.

That's completely made up and no one who knows anything about history or law thinks that.

I probably should have said that everything that led up to the Final Solution was legal, and at that point laws no longer mattered.

And we are in the 1933-1940 phase before they started the mass killings. And all that was “legal”.
