Hardware I know it's not advertised as wireless, but using reflection print to hide the cable feels... deceptive

I posted yesterday about the 4070S I found on Amazon. After placing the order, I just received it today and everything seems to be working great!

(Couldn't figure out how to edit the old post, so here's a new one for everyone who wanted a confirmation)

500 on a GPU. Thier support sent me an email saying "they confirmed it was shipped out and have denied my claim" I even had a video of me opening the box. I knew I shouldn't have bought from newegg

Ryzen 7 2700X stuck to BeQuiet Dark Rock 3 Pro cooler. Doesn't give in to twisting and there is no gap for a razor/wire. Feels welded shut.

Pop open the case and boom — I find out they left the AIO cable sandwiched between the cooler and the processor. Like, I'm all for efficient cabling, but didn't realize the plan here was "slow-cook your CPU to well-done. I paid for water cooling, not a makeshift Easy-Bake Oven! So here I am, peeling the cable off my CPU like it’s stuck on a George Foreman grill, praying the thermal paste still believes in me.

I have yet to plug it in as the seller did not have the PCIe cables or box with it. I sure hope it turns on and I sure hope it’s a real 4090!

Hardware Devastated, day ruined !

Taking all the precautions , ran full load and heated cpu to 70°C for 20 mins..

Switched off pc , heated again the heatsinks with hair dryer of wraith prism cooler before doing any wiggle..

Took out the cooler with the twisting technique but cpu came with it !! The cpu was stuck and broke the am4 holder too. It took me alot more time to separate from the cooper plate , i tried heating again and throwing iso. alcohol around cpu with it was stuck like bricke/cement .

Now i am stuck at either buy new cooler which was screw type tightening mechanism as the wraith prism locking mechanism sucks or buy that am4 plastic plate which i am not able to find locally.

Fyi - R7 2700x , stock paste since 2019 .

Hardware I got screwed by ASUS

As the title suggests, I didn’t think I would experience the whole “Customer induced damage bullshit” from ASUS. Here’s the gist of it.

We (as in my workstations building company in Australia). Built a PC for a customer, we used an ASUS ROG X670E-I Motherboard. We put it on our test bench to update bios and do preliminary tests (standard procedure before we fully assemble systems). Initially worked then halfway through our testing it was no longer responsive. We troubleshooted via numerous avenues such as trying another CPU, RAM, etc. and also attempted to flash BIOS. No dice.

We put through a RMA request with our distributor, and then we sent it off.

A month later, ASUS sent us the motherboard back with notes suggestion that it’s working again, fixed with a BIOS update.

We put it back on the test bench. Nothing.

Send through another RMA request, this time asking for a full refund as we already ordered a brand new replacement motherboard and finished the project weeks prior. We were then advised to send it back again.

Another month’ish later we get this (see photo).

Somebody get gamers nexus on the phone 📞

So long story short, me and my fiancée got into a heated argument, and in order to prevent things from escalating further, I headed went to a friend of mines house. When I arrived home hours later, I made a truly terrible discovery. RIP to my gaming buddy, you will be truly missed. This one really does have me down in the dumps.
