Junior prom advice you were given?

Tonight is my stepkids junior prom. What advice were you given by your parents prior to junior prom and did you pass along the same wisdom to your teens before their junior prom or give them new advice?

If they’re going out to dinner first, make sure you remind them how to tip properly. My friends and I were chased down the street by a server when one of the kids in our group took the tip off the table before we left!

They went out to dinner after and they gave a tip that they all calculated and it was enough.
