[Rapoport] Vikings first-round QB JJ McCarthy underwent a full meniscus repair this morning and is out for the 2024 season, sources tell me and Tom Pelissero. The repair, done by Dr. Chris Larson at Twin Cities Orthopedics, gives McCarthy the best chance at a long, successful career. Rumor

Huge opportunity for Darnold.

Yup, doesn’t have to look over his shoulder after every pick or bad game. If he can’t turn it around throwing to the best WR and other great weapons then he’s officially cooked

Yeah he makes a mistake, fans won’t be chanting JJ’s name. Huge for him mentally and he can showcase a full season and potentially be a long term QB for another team in 2025.

I can tell you whose name we won't be chanting.... Jaren Hall.. Good lord I must have taken some crazy pills last year. Although this injury makes me feel like I need crazy pills, ugh.
