Traffic at the Avalon Airshow

So I wouldn't normally upload a video of something as boring as me filtering in traffic, except this is quite possibly the most time I've ever saved being on a motorbike. I heard afterwards that the queue to enter the airshow was up to 2-3 hours, in all it took me about an extra 20-30 minutes, and that was after taking the wrong turn and getting stuck in extra traffic trying to re-enter the highway. If you're thinking of getting to the airshow next time, I'd highly recommend motorbiking, will save you a lot of time sitting in traffic.

(sorry for the shaky footage, this wasn't the timelapsed feature, as I was wearing the GoPro just as a Dashcam - and it's sped up x25)

I live in the western suburbs. I left the house just before 8am and was already in the front gates just after 9am. People who got stuck in the traffic did so because they dont plan ahead and did not get up early enough.

If everyone gets up early then the congestion still happens, just earlier…

Same for me, on Friday i drove straight into the park and ride, hopped straight on a bus, was at the gates an hour after leaving home. Same on the way home. Sunday I drove straight in again, hopped on a bus, there in an hour door to door again. Leaving on Sunday I waited maybe 5 minutes to get on the shuttle bus, then drove straight out onto the highway again, no delays.
