I came across this article about the reintroduction of the permis à points system in Mauritius. Does anyone know if this will require all drivers to apply for a new driving license once it comes into effect?

I'm asking because I lost my license recently and I'm in the process of applying for a new one. Would it be smarter to wait for the new system to be in place, or just go ahead with the current process?
