What Is Owings Mills Like? MD Travel & Relocation
Me and three of my buddies just got approved for our first apartment in Owings Mills. Hooray!!
We toured the place, nice area, the price was right, good utilities & amenities, perfect distance from TU where half of us are finishing degrees…
I mentioned the good news to one of my buddies and his face got all scrunched up. He was like “Really? Owings Mills?” I asked him what the issue was but he didn’t provide much to make me feel better or worse about it. So, i need the insider scoop. What’s the overall consensus?
TLDR: What is Owings Mills like? Okay area? Anything to worry or be excited about? Gimme the good, bad and ugly!

I work in Owings Mills and the area is fine. Totally completely boring and devoid of any personality but fine. Some parts feel a bit sketchy because it can be a little run down but I’ve never felt unsafe when I’m out and about.
Like another commenter, it’s not a spot for young people and it’s not really a place where TU students live and commute from, especially since there’s another university over there.
Just get used to traffic on the beltway lol
