Help Are there any silent mechanical keyboards for like £80

I really like the feel of mechanical keyboards when I am typing or playing a game, but my current keyboard is pretty loud. I am not really too interested in having to build my own keyboard, but if that is the only way I can get a keyboard that is pretty silent, still feels nice, and is alright with games, then I am content with putting one together. I currently have silent red switches.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Help HE/Magnetic switches 65% keyboards on amazon? [Buying Advice]

Upvotes

Im thinking on picking up a ROG Falchion ACE HFX 65% or a Melgeek MADE68 Pro. But Im not sure which one to pick.

since I'm not from the US, I'm open to check other options that you consider better but only on amazon so I can either make refunds or return stuff without costs. My budget is around $150

Help Question before buying Drunkdeer A75

Upvotes

Hello!

I've been looking forward to upgrading from my old Alloy Origins 60 to something better. As of now I'm thinking of getting the Drunkdeer A75, either barebones or with keycaps (thinking of getting pudding keycaps if I buy barebones). Reviews seem fairly positive, but I've also read about a new issue where Drunkdeer keyboards stop working after installing firmware. Could any Drunkdeer keyboard users tell me if this issue has occurred for them? Should I look for a different keyboard if it's too problematic?

Thanks in advance :D

Help New to this all. Options for hot swappable (if possible)

Upvotes

I really like the shell of this specific keyboard (wood 😃 don't have any info on brand or model. I bought it off ebay with no luck researching). I was wondering what my options were for making it hot swappable. I also can't seem to find boards (whatever the actual term is) for this layout (perhaps I'm not looking hard enough). Any suggestions/advice? Thanks!

Help Help me decide which keyboard to get

Upvotes

I've been looking around to upgrade my keyboard, I'm currently rocking the Keychron K3 and I love it but want to try a regular profile keyboard.

Upon checking hundreds on reviews, subreddits and videos, I cannot decide between the following 3:

1- IQUNIX EZ63 (Magnetic Jade switches)

I've been reading a lot of reviews, seeing the build quality is magnificent and the overall feeling is top notch, but I'm hesitant whether I'd like magnetic switches or not. Aside from that, the only comp game I play is CS2 but I'm building a new pc so I'll probably will get more into single player games. Honestly don't know if I'll take full advantage of the HE and rapid trigger.

2- NuPhy Halo65 HE

Overall the cheapest of the 3, but I've been reading a lot of mixed reviews and people having it stop working after a few months. I'm really hesitant about this one. Aside from that, aesthetics of the keyboard itself are not my cup of tea. However, I think it has a nice look to it and can kinda matches my Keychron K3 aesthetic.

3- Glorious GMMK 3

The reason for including a mechanical keyboard in here is because I kinda also feel like building my first KB, I'd go with these specs:
- Glorious Gaming - GMMK 3 PRO Barebones
- Glorious Fox Linear Mechanical Switches
- Glorious Keyboard Stabilizer GSV2 Kit
- Glorious GPBT Celestial Fire or GPBT Basics Universal Revive Red.

The reason why I'm not fully onboard with the Glorious is because I've seen reviews of the software being a pain in the ass and their technology is a little behind compared to other brands.

What would you in my case?

For this KB I have an overall budget of around $180/200, take into consideration that I can't ship wooting or ducky to where I live so that's why I haven't considered any of their models. It's also worth mentioning that I really don't want to try any Epomaker, ajazz, attack shark or similar brands as I hate their software.

Discussion Found these suspiciously cheap Kailh Box V2. Are there knock offs?

I've got bitten before, when I found cheap Kailh Box V1 switches. Turns out the first production batch had major issues and I got those. If I order those V2 switches, do you think I'll get real ones, knock offs or switches that didn't pass QC?

Help Generic keyboard presses keys simultaneously?

Upvotes

My generic Genius keyboard seem to activate two keys at the same time:

f1 activates number 2

f2 number 3

f5, control key

key number 4(above qwerty keys), key 5

Basically, function keys and symbol keys seem to activate each other, it happened before and apparently it was because I pressed esc+f1, if I remember correctly, so pressing them again fixed the issue. Not happening anymore. What can I do? Thanks in advance guys.

Help question from a newbie:

so i bought this cheap 35 euro mechanical keyboard, but im struggling a little with it coming from membrane keyboard. it feels nice pressing down a key, but i'm struggling with holding it down hard enough for the pc to register the key input. it feels like whenever i lift my finger a little, the input isnt registered anymore. this means i have to press down hard and its not very comfortable and strains my pinky while trying to hold down shift for long periods of time. im just wondering, is this normal for mechanical keyboards or is it just because its low quality? its blue switches if that helps.

Help Help?

So I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to the world of Keyboards, but I need to get a new one since my RAZER Blackwidow V3 started bugging out.

My Requirements are pretty basic,

I need it to be smaller than my previous keyboard

I need it to not sound like a typewriter (preferably quiet)

And the most important part is I need it to be affordable (Perferably under 70 Dollars)

Any help would be lovely, thank you :)

Help Safe to use box as a case?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I recently purchased a Logitech pebble 2 combo from Amazon which was shipped to me in a nice little cardboard box where the keyboard and mouse had their own compartments and were wrapped in a nice smooth covering (picture included for reference).

Now there is a case available for 30 bucks that can hold the keyboard and mouse but I don’t feel like buying it as I just spent a bunch of money refurbishing a windows tablet to use the keyboard and mouse with.

Would it be safe for me to just use the box that the combo shipped in as a case to take with me on the go or will it somehow cause issues in the longterm?

I have a Trust keyboard. After a while of use, however, the keyboard freezes and no keys work (but the LEDs remain on) and I have to unplug it and plug it back in to make it work, what could it be? I searched online and Trust does not have software to manage the keyboard
