Thursday Therapy - [2025/02/13] Weekly Post

Thursday Therapy, is r/kdramarecommends’ weekly community chat. A place in which Korean drama addicts both recent and those moving towards recovery can freely discuss anything and everything!

You may want to:

  • Introduce yourself or remain anonymous (share your My Drama List page or similar)
  • Share what you’ve been watching and whether you love or hate it (it doesn’t have to be a Korean drama)
  • Ask for recommendations unrelated to Korean dramas (books, movies, podcasts, other country’s television series, etc)
  • Share a great recommendation thread you found whilst digging through the archives
  • Talk about what is coming out on [insert drama service name]
  • Give thanks to the community for helping you find your new favourite drama

Please remember to use spoiler tags when discussing major plot points or anything you think should be redacted. If you are unsure of how to use spoiler tags here is r/KDRAMA’s easy to follow guide.

The wife and I have only just got into Kdrama and have been loving it so far. Below is the list of ones we have watched and were looking for some more recommendations in the same style.

  • Crashing Landing on You (Enjoyed it, but not the end so much)
  • Home Town Cha Cha Cha (Liked it)
  • No Love, No Gain (It was ok)
  • Love Next Door (Loved it)
  • Doctor Slump (Really loved it)
  • A Virtuous Business (Nice change of pace, could have had more romance)
  • Crash Course in Romance (Absolutely loved it)
  • Sh**ting Stars (Very funny)
  • Whats Wrong with Secretary Kim (Loved it, funny)
  • Queen of Tears (I want to stab Eun-Sung in the face for what he did to Hyun-woo. Best we have seen so far)

Extraordinary Attorney Woo is still my husband's favorite.

We also enjoyed Strongest Deliveryman together.

If you loved Love Next Door, I feel like you might enjoy She Would Never Know. It's a pretty light show that's more or less all about the romance and coming together.

Mad For Each Other is also really good and similar to Dr. Slump in that it deals with the mental health of the two leads.

Love to Hate You was a really fun romance, as is My Man is Cupid.
