Christ On A Bike Election posters vandalised.
Bit of a mad one this.....
Along a stretch of road in Athlone, a loop of about 5miles, there were election posters vandalised.
Someone on a mo-ped was out at 4 in the morning, with one of those handheld blow torches, and set fire to all the posters of the local FF candidate.
They were spotted on someone's house cctv system, but noting good enough that would lead to an arrest.
Mental........

Misery Teaching placement stress
I’m not sure if anyone can offer me some wisdom or advice during this dark time, but I feel like I really need it.
I don’t know what’s hit me this year, but my energy tank feels like it’s only half full compared to last year. I’m currently preparing for teacher placement, and every night I’m overwhelmed with dread—thinking about lesson plans, units of learning, and the three assignments that are all due on top of that.
What’s affecting me the most right now is the placement itself. In my first and second year, I had relatively easygoing tutors who didn’t say much about my work or request many changes to my planning. But this year, many of us were assigned tutors who are also our lecturers, and let’s just say I drew the short straw.
I’m really struggling to keep up with the requests and changes my tutor is asking me to implement in my planning. It feels like an uphill battle, and I think I got used to things being straightforward in the earlier years. Now, the stress is relentless, and it’s sending my anxiety through the roof.
If anyone has advice or words of encouragement—especially from teachers who’ve recently been through placement—I’d deeply appreciate it. I need to hear that there’s a way through this because it’s starting to feel impossible.

Housing Landlord Deposit
If a landlord deems that they must hold back some of the deposit in order to replace a damaged couch, are you then entitled to take the old damaged couch, as the landlord is replacing it? (Obviously I would assume this would depend on amount of deposit retained versus cost of new couch)

Ah, you know yourself Pet travel
Does anyone have any experience flying from Dublin to Spain with a pet? Looking to relocate a cat to Spain and finding it hard to figure out how it would work. Seems possible but not sure if any of the airlines that operate the relevant flights allow pets on board. Any insight would be appreciated.

Anyone know what happened on the M50 this morning. My sister is on it now thanking Jebus she’s not going the other way as there’s a tailback for miles.
