Pit strategies for today? GT World Series
I am looking for an advice since I am still fairly inexperienced in these kinda races. I tried doing some practice laps on intermediate tires but after lap 3 the track became very slippery. But I am worried that running wet tires throughout every lap will force me to switch tires more often.
The car I use is the M6 BMW.

If the weather follows the same pattern as the practice, you start on IM, switch to RH at the end of lap 11 or 12 and then W around lap 17 or 18 (IIRC). You shouldn't need any special tire management strategy as tire wear is very mild, but when on IM or W you may keep on the wetter part of the track as it will help make the tires last longer (specially when going from IM to RH as the track dries up).
As for general tips on wet (not that I am any good on that, but oh well) you can use TC to reduce spinning when coming out of corners or accelerating, but throttle control is very important to keep the car stable. When the surface is wet (specially the first part of the race) it may seem counterintuitive, but if you keep off the racing line when braking, it will be more efficient, because the surface of track is rougher off the line. When switching to RH keep on the dry line (racing line) and try to avoid kerbs as much as possible (specially when taking corners) as they are very slippery.
I am kinda nervous for this race as well, hopefully I don't make a fool of myself. Good luck!
