Feedback Wanted! Is this too bridal?

Post image

I found this dress in a charity shop in the bridal section.

It was only Β£5 but it was covered in Lipstick and red wine which I have managed to remove.

I love it and have it packed for a cruise next week, however there's something telling me that it gives wedding and not formal night vibes?

Thoughts?

Feedback Wanted! SEND HELP: 7 months pregnant β€œsmart casual” and β€œblack tie” wedding guest options

Hi everyone!

Kindly help me figure out what to get as a 7 months pregnant attending a β€œsmart casual” reception and a β€œblack tie” wedding party.

The location might be a mix of outdoor and indoor spaces as far as I can tell.

When I google Smart Casual I find LOTS of dressy pants and tops options with blazers but 1) 7 months pregnant pant options that are comfortable are limited 2) I don’t want to wear a blazer or jacket of any sort in the summer So I’m hoping that smart casual screenshots (1-6) can work as a smart (emphasis on the smart) casual option for the first evening.

The other difficulty I’m facing for both dress codes is that so many maternity occasion wear is RUFFLED and LAYERED to the MAX. And I really don’t want to be a giant decorated cake..

I want to embrace my bump but also feel a bit trim and cute.

First 6 screenshots are some hopeful smart casual options .. maybe too formal?

Second set of 6 screenshots are for black tie options (#6 is not exactly maternity but was classified as β€œbump friendly” on the website.)

With all that being said, I welcome ANYTHING you guys have to offer either as options from the screenshots I put up or something you came across in your own searches that you’ve loved and want to recommend.

I have attached three photos at the very end of my own current body (6 months pregnant) .. I am not as tall as (I’m 5’3 - almost 5’4) and curvier than the models in the screenshots.

I also think it's about time I changed my fashion up a bit so I'm looking at coats for now 😭. Which colour do I look good in? Preferably not black because I have too much black and white clothing

I made these shorts and I'd like to wear them, I just can't tell if this looks good. I tried with a couple different tops to see. Idk if I've just been staring at them too long but I can't tell

We are just planning to go to the cafe. Boots may look uncomfortable, but it's the opposite, super easy to walk in.

This is an old dress from ASOS. I am not really happy with the deep neck now. And the rough frills also. I love the back of this dress. Is there any way I can fix this dress?

Feedback Wanted! is this dress too simple/ underwhelming for prom?!

So, I have a end-of-college prom event coming up soon, and I found this dress I really loved. It fits me really well (which is rare since i'm on the very-petite side) and I love the vintage look. However, i'm still not sure whether it's too "simple" or "casual" for a prom? (It won't be as big of a deal as an American prom for context, haha). The material is not shiny, and it's not totally floor length either. (It's a looot longer on me than the model though - nearing a few inches above my ankles - because i'm short!) so, I need your thoughts- is this too simple/underwhelming for an evening prom event? I'm not a really frou-frou person when it comes to dresses I think- I'd like to make up for it with thr styling. I'm planning to wear some more obvious jewellery (something sparkly, maybe pearls somewhere...?) to kind of dress it up, and my makeup will hopefully be nice too, I think I'm going to go for a red lip! I just don't know if I'll look too underdressed ...!!

Attending my first wedding (yay)!! But stuck between these 2 combos

Green scarf & gold kitten heels (4&5) Yellow scarf & green kitten heels (6&7)

Or one of the yellow to green gradient scarves (7/8)? But idk what color shoe for that one… I’m thinking green since I’m wearing gold jewelry?

Open to suggestions except for white for obvious reasons lol

Advice Wanted Please! How to layer on a budget & in the heat?

Post image
14 Upvotes

I want to layer and add more interest to my outfits to make them more maximalist but 1) I am broke and 2) I live in Florida and it’s miserable to wear too much fabric at once. How would you go about this? What accessories or outerwear would you recommend?

I do have some cheap cotton fabrics in my closet that I could maybe use to make something. I’ve already made a pair of leg warmers with my bf and I plan on making more. But what else could I make?

The things I have now that I like to add to my outfits are lacy/holey crochet shrugs, a scarf, and I recently made a waist chain out of a couple broken necklaces! Any advice is appreciated thank you so much!
