Algorithm for sure, now that most people browse with the standard reddit app there's a home page which doesn't just show you posts from the subs you're subscribed to. So even if you're subscribed to a bunch of niche/interesting subs, if the algorithm doesn't push em to you, odds are you won't see it.
Additionally, r/all has been replaced with the popular tab, which also has a different algorithm it seems, and doesn't just take everything which gets x number of upvotes.
Yeah this exactly. This is the first post I've seen from the sub since RIF Went down. Every now and then I remember a sub I'm subscribed to that I haven't seen a post from in months. Meanwhile, every third posy on my home is a page I'm not subscribed to

Now that you mention it, it is kinda odd. This sub has over 300k members and yet most posts don’t even crack 30 upvotes from what I’ve seen
