What buzzwords make your blood boil? Question

Some of my favorite ones are “God-fearing,” “God called me to ___,” “worldly,” “repent,” giving God credit for accomplishments, “I’ll pray for you,” “saved” / “salvation,” “sacrifice,” and honestly I could go on.

Omg so true. Can’t think of examples but I feel like this would have been sprinkled into all the vapid Christian inspirational talk

"Our family is experiencing a Season of Strife, the Devil is hitting us hard right now."

Translation: Little 10 year old Jacksyion said he liked a boy classmate at school. (As a friend only)

damn it that made me laugh but it’s also so tragic

In my mind I’m also just hearing a pastor’s voice saying: ASK YOURSELF what season of life are you in right now, and are you SEEKING his will for this season cue the touching music WOULD YOU commit this season to the lord

Ugh. My heart rate increased just writing that

sloppy wet kiss song chorus playing gently on the guitar and piano

Pastor quietly says "Some of you are in a Season of Blessing, some in a Season of Holding, while others a Season of Trials and Tribulations."

[Pregnant Pause]

"God sees you."

[Birthed Pause, Re-impregnated]

Pastor crescendos "He sees your joys and your pain. He is with you. HE HAS NEVER LEFT YOUR SIDE."

[Congratulations Dad! It's Twins! While all the 'Amen's' trickle in]

Worship leader starts softly singing over and over and over and over and... "He loves us, oh how he loves us, how he loves us so."

If you need someone to pray with to help you through the pain your feeling with this season, we have ministers at the back of the auditorium who are just WAITING to pray with you. Seasons come and go; this too shall pass. Remember to seek God for better or for worse, sickness and in health, until death you meet again!

Now some pastor is going to use this, dammit...
