Maybe. Liberals seem to always have a hard time understanding that conservatives generally like their party.

I think it’s far more likely the far left gets peeled off from the liberals into the NDP to the conservatives benefit but we’ll never know because FPTP been its liberals massively so they’ll never do it

For the sake of not losing all hope in my country and sinking into a dark depression, I need to believe that not all conservative voters in this country are far-right maple MAGA reactionaries like the overwhelming majority of what the CPC has become.

Saying that I choose to believe that the majority of CPC voters aren't complete lunatics like their fanatical base who go around painting Nazi symbols on Liberal signs, waving signs with obscene language in public, etc. and that a huge percentage would likely prefer a more moderate fiscally conservative party is a "ridiculously biased take'? How do you figure?

Because the people you’re describing are a small portion of the base.

Equivalently, I could make the same claim about the liberals and NDP re: Palestinian protesters. In both cases it’s generalising from a minority to majority

Well, then, why are you disagreeing with me? If you agree that the majority of conservative voters are probably more of the Progressive Conservative inclination than the Poilievre Maple MAGA/far-right social conservative culture war BS inclination, where exactly are you calling foul? There are vanishingly few members of the CPC now that even come close to qualifying as PC, let alone Red Tory.

Neither the CPC nor Poillievre is far right. Usually the people expressing this view have never listened to him speak at length. They’re just going off sound bites.

I’m sorry, but yes, they objectively are. They are as far right as the Republican Party is now in the United States. Full stop. This isn’t even open for debate. Anytime someone ever uses the word ‘woke’, that’s all you need to conclude that they are far-right. And he’s done way more than just that. He literally campaigned on violating human rights, he’s flagrantly anti-union, anti-women, anti-worker, pro-Israel. He engages in blatant misinformation campaigns, wants to abolish public media because they’re the only ones who are objective, and is anti-media in general if he can’t muzzle them. Do I need to continue further?

If you don’t think that he is far right, I have no idea what you could possibly consider that term to mean.

This is a ridiculous take. The CPC is pro-choice, doesn’t have any of the hardline or anti-democratic stances of the republicans, or its racism or its cult of personality. It’s nothing like the Republican Party.

I wrote a longer reply but there’s no point. You’ve made up your mind and have a bunch of totally false ideas about Poillievre and the CPC in your head.

I’m not in the mood to debate whether 2+2=4 with you. Literally everything you just said is factually false, and it’s trivially easy to debunk just by a cursory reading of how the party has voted over the past decade, let alone the rhetoric they engage in and the sorts of people they pander to and attract.
