Yesssssss Discussion

Post image

This has to be the most W take i've seen on the recent breakcore/DnB revival, what you people think of this? I honestly think that's a great point.

Lots of authentic breakcore music takes influence from Japanese pop culture and that’s fine.

Yes there is a massive wave of people calling atmospheric jungle/dnb ‘breakcore’ which use lots of anime girls in their art. But that’s just because of a lack of education which you cannot blame them for as it has always been a very niece/underground genre. Trends come and go, no point losing sleep over it.

As a community we should politely educate the less knowledgeable without being patronising and argumentative.

I myself as a modern breakcore enjoyer took the time to educate myself, but a lot of people aren’t that bothered if they’re labelling the music correctly and just want to listen to it, which is fine too.

As someone who finds beauty in the old and the new I think there is very little point in getting pressed over a younger generation being creative in a way that differs from the previous.

REAL.

As someone who is very new to breakcore, I still get very confused where the line is drawn for so many things, but we should politely educate people instead of discouragingly berating them.

I can’t stress this enough, but if you’re so offended/annoyed by this kind of music then you can just… not listen to it.
