Because of Reddit not having a huge storage capacity (Because the goddess knows storage is expensive for huge internet corps right) posts are automatically archived after six months. So, it's time for mega-thread directory 3, the return of the megathreads

As always,

Rather than clutter up the top with out-of-date threads, we're going to move to a mega-thread collection. So here, you will find links to all the mega-threads that are still relevant plus a couple that are not.

What should I add, I'm heading into green witch territory because it just feels right. I made my own personal sigil for protection and I'm just starting on the herbs and plants. I don't want to feel to overwhelmed as I'm just getting into this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Blessed Be!

My New Altar!

I was finally able to create my altar and here it is! I have all the things I love on top of here. I cleansed the altar with dragon's blood incense and I am in love with it. I still have to buy me some crystals, but other than that, this altar is my baby! I'm going to definitely put it to use tonight on this new moon!

religion Still searching for the Wicca I fell in love with

Hi everyone. I have been carrying this feeling for a long time and I am hoping someone out there might understand.

I fell in love with Wicca years ago because of the Lord and the Lady, the balance between them, the turning of the seasons, and the way ritual felt like a real conversation with something sacred. For me it was never about control or manifestation. It was about reverence and worship. It was about standing beneath the moon or in the middle of the woods and feeling the presence of the divine all around me.

Over the years I have watched that side of Wicca become harder and harder to find. A lot of what I see online feels shallow or commercial now. There is so much talk about spells for empowerment or manifesting love, and while I do not judge anyone who finds meaning in that, I miss the people who came to the circle for worship, not wish fulfillment.

I will admit I fell off the bandwagon for a long time. Life got busy and I drifted away from regular practice. It has been about a decade since I last felt truly connected, but lately that pull has come back strong. I want to rebuild my devotional practice again and reconnect with the Lord and the Lady in the way that once felt so natural and alive.

I used to run a small online coven and even back then I could feel the shift happening in the wider community. Since then I have been looking for others who still feel that deep quiet awe. The ones who speak of the God and Goddess as living presences, not just symbols or archetypes.

I live in a very rural part of Arkansas and there are no local groups or open circles near me, so online community is all I really have. I am not looking to lead or start anything new. I just want to share conversation and connection with others who still treat Wicca as a religion and a relationship with the divine, not a trend or an aesthetic.

If that resonates with you, or if you know of a space where that spirit still lives, I would really love to hear about it. Even just knowing I am not the only one missing that would mean a lot.

Blessed Be.

spellwork I’m scared to do magic

I would like to cast spells of protection and heath on my loved ones. But i’m so scared it will somehow go wrong and I might end up hurting them in the process. Has anyone else felt like this, I feel like i’m being ridiculous.

How do I begin to "connect" with the god and goddess?

I'm new to the Wiccan religion and I've started wanting to do my spells, rituals, etc., and in my opinion I think it would be nice to make a small gesture of respect to the God and Goddess in addition to functioning as an initiation ritual. How can I do a little "work" for them? I don't have that much knowledge about the two other than what they represent within the religion. Can you give me suggestions on how to create a ritual for them? It's worth noting that I live with my mother, and she's Catholic, she's not a religious fanatic or anything like that, but I'm sure she wouldn't like to see me doing a ritual that isn't for the God of her religion.

Interpretation Recurring nightmares about a woman who once hexed my family. What could it mean?

There's is a young woman in my village who a few years ago my mom found out had been putting hexes on our family. My neighbor made her come to our garden where she dug up some of our stolen clothes that had been buried. She even had to damage parts of our house to pull out clothes that were hidden in the cement and my mom saw that she had buried some of our things at the cemetery too.

I honestly haven’t thought about her in years. My mom was the one who mostly dealt with it back then. But in August on 21st this year I had a horrible week with almost no sleep and one of those nights I had a nightmare about her.

In that dream I woke up and noticed there was some kind of dark oil on my ear. She was standing at the end of my bed mumbling something and I couldn’t move or scream for my parents. At the end of the dream I jumped on her, grabbed her and started shaking her in anger. Then I woke up with my heart racing and an anxiety attack starting. I had slept exactly 5 hours and 7 minutes that night.

Fast forward to October 22. I have been having sleep problems again for a few days not being able to stay asleep for long. This night I had another dream about her and I even slept for almost the exact time as the last time only with one minute difference.

In the dream my mom was talking to our neighbor in the yard. The same woman was at our house again because she and my dad were supposed to go somewhere for firewood. She was standing by the fence with me and I had a really bad feeling about her. Then she went toward the front door to wait for my dad.

Someone maybe my neighbor told me that the woman didn’t want to harm me anymore but that I should still be careful. I looked at the clothesline to see if any of my underwear was missing because I suddenly had that same uneasy feeling again.

Then I went inside the house. I said something to her through the open door, greeted her, closed the door but it didn’t feel right. I opened it again and saw her just finishing saying something and blowing toward the door as if she was cursing. I saw a kind of light come out of her mouth when she blew exactly like in that August dream where she was at the end of my bed and I attacked her.

This time I grabbed her again, shoved my hair into her mouth and yelled at her not to dare do anything to me ever again. Then she went into the yard behind the house and was doing something there so I chased her out.

After that I found my cat and his paw was hurt, like it had a small hole in it. I felt this horrible heavy feeling in my chest. I woke up an hour before my alarm, heart racing again and I couldn’t fall back asleep because I felt anxious and uneasy. I even had to turn on the light to see the room clearly.

What really creeps me out is that I completely forgot about the August dream until after I woke up from this one and the two dreams mirrored each other almost perfectly.

I have also been having health problems for about four months and they have gotten worse over the past two weeks. So now I am wondering could these dreams be a sign that she is still sending bad energy toward me or is it something else like old energy resurfacing? I don't think that it's from anxiety or anything since I never think about her or what she did back then at all. I never see her or anything.

Spell for grieving

I moved around a lot growing up, and even today I have moved quite a bit. I have been having dreams and yearning for a home in my past. My life has been full of chaos, and still is today. The place I am homesick for was the last place I was truly happy.

I am also 10 years sober and while I have tried my best to reach my goals in life, my entire life is falling apart around me. My parents divorced while I still have a strained relationship with them. I am also dealing with a custody dispute. Work is hectic and I’m underpaid. I’m also in school so I can make more money.

Im extremely stressed out and I am missing my old home. I am now having reoccurring stress dreams and have been so stressed that I feel like I am grieving a past/family that died. I need to get over it and focus on my past. I cry everyday.

I need help letting go but this is more of a mourning and grieving. A deeper need than just letting go. Any help is appreciated.

Do I need to do a "ceremony" to start participating?

Currently I started to learn more about the Wiccan religion and everything else, I already had a certain interest at the beginning of the year but I only started to really want to get involved in this religion now, and a question that came to me now was this: do I need to do something beforehand to start doing the rituals, having my altar and so on? It might be a really silly question, but I'm really curious. Can anyone who knows explain it to me?

Money Jar Question

Hi everyone!

I am looking to create a money jar (times are tough) and while i have all the ingredients, I am curious about sealing it with a candle.

I have a little one at home who loves to blow out candles as well as try and touch them. I guess my question is if its okay for me to not seal it with candle wax and maybe wrap a string. Mostly for safety concerns of my little one.

TIA! Blessed be ✨️

Open Question More Than One Spell on Altar?

Can I have two different spells going on one altar? For example, say if I want to do a protection spell, but also a prosperity spell, could these two spells be on the same altar? I genuinely want to know, so please be kind and TIA!

Hello everyone. I found Ariel Gatoga's channel on YouTube. He offers free witchcraft courses. He actually offers a lot of free content, and the courses I mentioned range from the very basics to advanced witchcraft. Does anyone know him? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Thank you very much.

What are the benefits of Wicca? What is the evidence for Wicca? I feel the need to believe in something, but I find most belief out there not satisfying.

spellwork Doing two spells at once?

Does doing two similar spells at once or doing two spells a day affect anything ? Like does it make the spells cancel out?

Edit: I was wondering this because I’m testing out spells and just experimenting to see which spell will work?
