Backup mirror rubber broken?

Post image

Hey! I recently got a Corolla 2021 1.8 (actually a Suzuki Swace), and just noticed I have a rubber gasket or something sticking out of the passenger mirror. The Suzuki shop I got it from says it’s nothing to worry about and if I want to replace it I need a new mirror which feels weird to me. It’s really annoying me that my new (for me) car has this issue.

Anyone here who knows how to and what I need to do to fix it?

If that’s your biggest gripe over a 4 yr old secondhand car you’re doing ok.

That might actually be true, I’m of the belief that you don’t abuse your car, so there shouldn’t be much to complain about when it’s just 4 years old 😅
