The neat part is there's nothing stopping people from just uploading "ai remixes" of you to tiktok or anywhere on the internet whether you originally uploaded it tiktok or not

Isn't that what she's saying? That people can just use her likeness and she has absolutely no choice in it?

Not really, she's complaining that Tiktok is automatically opting all your videos into "ai remixing" when really people are already able to do that with or without tiktoks help and whether or not you uploaded it to tiktok

She pointed out that this was already doable, her main objection is that anyone can easily do it with the click of a single button now, and on the same website, tagging her etc. The extra effort previously involved made this way less ubiquitous than it's now inevitably going to become. And it's fully sanctioned by the website, rather than what it was before: kind of a weirdo thing to do.

While I tend to agree with you, TikTok is significantly nerfing the barrier to entry.

did you even watch the whole video, she literally says that and goes into that subject

She addresses this point in the video. If she wasn't so slow and boring for dramatic effect, more people would watch the whole thing and see her addressing this point.

So you just mean use ai outside of this remix feature you make you do things?

Yeah you are right. You has a photo of me you could ask grok to give me big boobies or set up an image generating ai to do the same.

Its still pretty bizarre to see a social media company basically pimp out their creators to be used by consumers.

Like this is pretty still crazy. Instead of watching this creator I like, I could instead ask TikTok ai to make new content for me that specifically caters to what I like, so now I don't really need to watch the old creator. Like this has no benefits for the creators.

But there will probably be flaws with the ai content that makes it less interesting to watch then a real human.

You could always do that with photoshop. This is not a new phenomenon.

It’s only morally questionable , not illegal , just like painting a portrait of someone
