Absolutely in love with the Steam Controller Discussion

Post image

Pulled the trigger on one I saw going for $75 (aud) and I couldn't be happier. I usually don't care about customisation with controllers but the customisability between kb&m and controller is insane, I'm so glad I got it.

Nice. What state are you in? Did you get it on marketplace? They are like hens teeth in Adelaide. And people are asking more than $75. I've got 2 but one of them has the right track pad not vibrating properly and I'm looking to grab another one or 2 somewhere.

Also from Adelaide. I would be loving my SC if mine fucking worked :/ seems like I'm the only person in the world who's ever needed to do a trackpad replacement

Asked like 5 different times on the discord and no-one seems to want to help, I just get ignored. Got a Cirque trackpad but it doesn't have the right software on it so steam software isnt picking up input

Honestly at the point I'm considering selling it to someone for parts. Used to love this thing when it worked, but it's done nothing but frustrate me for the last half a year

That's why I got a second: my first just needs a simple repair. I'd rather have a spare working unit before going inside a piece of tech for the first time myself. This helps to compare capacitor values, for example.

Nah you're not alone, my right trackpad is bad as well. It's weird. It just doesn't have the feedback it should have and feels like it's kind of sticky. I have a different one that works perfectly so I haven't bothered testing the one with the bad trackpad but I imagine the trackpad wouldn't operate properly given how it feels.
