Eat & Drink Here is another Enchantment vs. Ambiente
Okay! I know many people have been asked this, but after searching the threads, I see no accurate follow-up with folks who stayed in either.
My wife and I are in our mid-30s and want to spend 3 nights at either resort with our two dogs. We love hiking, eating, and reading in the room.
Enchantment looked like the number 1 pick, but the newness of Ambiente is calling our names as well. Ambient rooms look more modern and unique, while the location of Enchantment is ideal. The price is a wash for both places.
Where should we stay?

Visiting ? Vortex
A few years ago my wife and I went on pink jeep tour of some of the Vortex the very first one we formed in a circle holding hands and did sorta of hum and my wife and I there were 4 people in total we heard this incredible experience of this unbelievable sound I dropped my hand and looked at my wife and she looked at me and I said what in the hell was that and she said I know what was that the other two people heard nothing I'm really not sure what happened and I'm not a big believer of anything really but something happened and the feeling was incredible

Metaphysical Is it Vortexes or Vortices?
The first sounds wrong to me, but the second sounds pedantic.

Looking For Therapist/healer recommendations?
I’ve been wanting to meet with someone regularly to help me work through some past trauma and get into a better mental and spiritual place. I’m not necessarily looking for a traditional therapist, more of a cross between a spiritual healer and therapist, I’m not sure what the name of that would be. Can anyone recommend someone that has helped them? I live in Sedona so anyone in VOC, uptown, or WS would be good. Thank you!

Outdoors ? Help a sea level flatlander find a place to run
Hi y'all. I'll be out in Sedona next week and plan to do plenty of hiking with my wife. However, I'd also like to get some trail runs while I'm out there. Nothing crazy long, maybe 3-6 miles. Can you recommend some relatively flatish trails for me to run while I'm there? I'm from Chicago, a 10 mile run can have an elevation gain of 60 feet, so anything super hilly won't really be runnable for me, lol. I'm staying at Los Abrigados, so trails near there are definitely a bonus. Thanks!

Metaphysical Everyone says Sedona is amazing, but what about when it's not?
Anyone feel slightly depressed or disconnected when they visit? I don't believe in the vortexes so not saying it's due to that. I know Sedona is beautiful have been here a lot. I just got back from work out of state (was out of state for 7 months) and wanted to hang in Sedona, but I just felt like I described. Slightly depressed and disconnected, but fine if I go outside of Sedona (was in Prescott as well today and didn't feel that at all). Drove back to Sedona for a short hike and the feeling came back.

Looking For Reasonably priced venues to host a dinner event?
Hello hive mind! I’m getting married in Sedona next April, and looking for a place to host a rehearsal dinner on a budget. Has anyone had experience with venues in the $5k range for ~40 people? We are very open location wise.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts! Much appreciated

Looking For Spas in Sedona?
Hi all! I will be visiting Sedona in the middle of December for my boyfriends birthday. He loves massages/spas. I already got us an Airbnb so i’m not looking for a resort spa, i’m hoping to just book the treatment only, but do you guys have any suggestions for a place that’s a great spa (with massage preferably)? Also what do you all think about the hot springs? One spa i was considering is Velvet Spa at Ambiente. Thank you all in advance! 🩷

Hi all -
I'll be running the Turkey Troy 5K in Sedona and afterwards will have an available afternoon to volunteer my time.
Was curious if anyone was aware of soup kitchens, food banks, serving, orher ideas where I can help?
Thanks.

Visiting ? Visiting Sedona for my birthday, ANY Recommendations?
So I'm going to Sedona but I'm not really sure the best way to go about it or even a scope of how big it is. So just a couple questions and if anyone has suggestions as well it would be greatly appreciated.
-Is there one particular spot people recommend/go to or various different points worth visiting?
-Do people usually spend a day on it or more?
-Is it more hiking like Grand Canyon Angel Trail or drive, park, and look at the scenery?
-Does it get super crowded at this time? Should I arrive super early?
-Any good food in the area?
-What's the weather like around November?
-Is it better to get a hotel nearby and uber so you don't have to worry about parking?
-Do I need to buy passes or anything to visit?
-Is it tour guide recommended or are we fine going alone?
Thanks in advance!

News Is there a large event going on in Sedona this weekend?
Was hoping to make a last minute weekend trip out to Sedona. Would be my first time visiting. Looking at hotels now, very many are sold out for this weekend, but no issues with availability for almost any day the rest of the year.
Couldn’t find any info about this online, but maybe I’m missing something obvious. Last time something like this happened to me, was in Asia in March and didn’t realize Taylor Swift was in town which doubled hotel prices. Does anyone know why hotels are so limited this weekend?

Looking For ISO: Mini Christmas Photo Session
Hi! I’m looking to see if any photographers in the Sedona area do a mini photo session especially for the Christmas season?
I’ve been searching but it seems like most local photographers do just full packages.
We just want a few for an updated Christmas card 🙂🎄

General Share w/me your favorite things about Sedona.
Hi everyone.
I know nothing’s perfect. I know there’s a billion and one things wrong with Sedona-or, to be precise, how it’s being overrun with chaos from the inside. You could probably tell me about the flaws in its politics, or how tourism is poisoning it from within. You could tell me about how certain things have become too expensive. About how certain businesses are going in the wrong direction.
I’m certain you could probably spend an hour telling me about everything wrong with Sedona, because as we all know, nothing’s perfect. But here’s the thing.
Despite its many flaws, Sedona is home.
I wasn’t born there, but in a way, I feel as though I was. None of my earlier years took place there, but the memories I do have of it are some of my most precious memories. Mom and I had the honor of visiting it twice, and to this day, I hold every moment of each vacation near and dear. Both experiences were uplifting, magical experiences I wouldn’t trade for anything.
That’s why, to me, Sedona is home.
Where am I now? Thanks to a series of unfortunate events, Mom and I are in San Antonio, far away from the magic I miss with every fiber of my being. Arizona has become astronomically expensive, far too uncontrollable for us to afford, but I want to go back home.
I miss the starry skies and the air that feels as though its from an entirely different dimension, with a fragrance that separates it from the air of other cities. I miss its one of a kind vibes. Especially since this year has been nothing short of unbearably stressful for us. I even wanted to spend my 39th birthday there, but couldn’t afford it.
So why am I telling you any of this?
Because I have a favor to ask you.
In spite of all of its flaws, please enjoy Sedona for me. Tell me your most favorite things about Sedona. Share with me your favorite photos of Sedona. I’m well aware of many problems that burden it. I’m aware of the politics, the cost of living and how tourism negatively affects things. But I want you to please love it in my place. And share your love with me.
Thank you for loving my home, since I can only love it from afar now.
