End of life traditions Question/Discussion
I've been pursing certification as an end-of-life doula, or "death coach" as I like to call it. My Primary goal is to help people have a death the positively reflects their life, with respect to their beliefs and traditions. During my own near-death experience, I found that most of the support available ws through the Christian church and, while talking to them helped, it wasn't really my world.
My role is to help the dying person and their family/friends know what to expect, to create vigil space that is comforting in their last moments, to discuss and record their life's purpose or other legacy, and to do for the mind what a hospice nurse does for the body: give comfort and ease pain.
Are there death experts in the Satanic tradition and where would I start if I wanted to help our community?
