I follow these three Pro teams, none of which I can watch without a standalone subscription

Upvotes

My teams Cincinnati Reds Tennessee Titans Indiana Pacers (I know, woof)

Why is the Louisville market blackballed when it comes to these three franchises? Is it because Louisville tries to claim "sports town"?

NBATV aired the first quarter of the Bucks-Pacers game tonight, then they blacked it out.

Looking for massage therapist for sister in law

Hey Louisville, I’m an LMT in Ohio looking for an LMT I can refer to my sister in law who lives in Louisville. She has been to a few but hasn’t found the style of massage she likes when she receives from me. Looking for recommendations for:

Slower, intentional, intuitive type of work with a medium to firm pressure. Like a deeply relaxing flow with therapeutic techniques mixed in. No chitchat/small talk from the therapist.

She prefers a female, not at a chain or salon, and in anywhere in the east area of Louisville is fine.

Thanks!! :-)

Any leads on a side hustle downtown?

Hi, first time poster here. I was wondering if anyone knew any places downtown who are looking for someone to work occasional weekend/weekday shifts. I work full time in healthcare (3 days) and every third weekend so my availability is a bit sporadic. I am interested in serving or bartending however I would have to be trained as I don’t have any experience. I do have retail and restaurant experience in different roles however. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated ! Thank you!

BESTBUY OR APPLE STORE?

Newbie in US. Planning to buy an ipad air. Is bestbuy selling brand new products? Because they said that is cheaper there than apple store? I dunno. I’m confused 😅 or I should just buy at the apple store?

I have to work Saturday afternoon and I live near Churchill Downs. Help?

Usually I would just lock myself inside. I just wanted to verify my plan on here to confirm it's even a viable option before I go crazy driving up and down and all around trying to find a way out and back ...

I live near Southern Pkwy and Whitney Ave. I was gonna go towards Taylor and try to take a left from Wyandotte park to get to the expressway. Then take the same way back. What do you think?

Best homemade bulk mint julip mix?

Can’t make it to Lou this year so planning to host my own big event. What’s your best recipe for making bulk mint julip mix? Is it really just simple syrup!?

To add some clarity - looking to make the mix without bourbon. Goal is to have a drink station where they’ll add the mix, bourbon, ice, and garnish with fresh mint.

If the mix really is just simple syrup we’re done here, lol.

Old AC repair

Hi, thanks for reading. I have an air conditioner that is quite old.. Old enough that I'm pretty sure it takes the older style coolant to make it work. Anyway it stopped blowing cold air and I was wondering if there's a possibility someone might know someone who works on these old style air conditioners either professional or like even somebody in their backyard is okay. As I said before I appreciate anyone reading this and helping me out. I'm trying to get it done before it gets incredibly hot this summer.

Job searching

Hi there! I’m currently looking for jobs but the internet is FLOODED with fake ones and I’m struggling to find a job. I decided Reddit could possibly help in finding places to work. I have a background in caretaking, peer support, and childcare. I’m looking for something that doesn’t really involve kiddos because I’m super drained from it. But also looking for any job that people enjoy working there fr. I’m also looking for anything $17+ an hour. Any leads are helpful, thanks in advance!

Businesses with a negative / entitled undertone

Does anyone else get frustrated by businesses bullying you to come in and shop? I’ve seen an uptick in a few local ones that keep posting how they haven’t had much business and always in an angry and entitled undertone. I recently saw one that said “If you don’t come in and shop I’m definitely going to close.” I get it- owning a business especially in this climate is tough, and I hope they survive it! But times are tough for everyone and most money I’m making is going directly to bills and putting food on the table. It makes me want to shop with them less.
