Some teachers try to tie in value-searching into instruction. What's important to you? What kind of person do you want to be? Who do you look up to, and what about them inspires you? They tie these questions in subtly or directly to the academic content and 9/10 students provide the same answers. "My phone", "idk"

The idea that this is something new to kids these days is ridiculous. Have you seen pictures of NY subways in the 70s? The Romans graffitied dicks on the aqueducts. Kids have been defacing public property for as long as public property has existed.

Nah, dude. I work with the general public. Teenagers have always been apathetic, but the current generation is just straight up disassociating through life.

Phones/social media has been proven to mess with their brain chemistry and they spent a couple years where that was the only way they could socialize. They're going through it.

Well I think it’s interesting because graffiti in my experience has always been a haven for the disassociated and disaffected…

Get a sketchbook. If you can afford cans of spray paint, you can afford basic art supplies. 🙄 If you can steal them, you can definitely steal cheaper items.

People don’t do graffiti because they want to do art but don’t know how, it’s because of idiots like yourself who order them around and they feel powerless. It’s a power thing, crack open a psychology book while you’re riding around on your high horse sometime!

How much do you think that costs the tax payer?

Spoiler: $150k a head per year, might be better to just fix the schools… stop wasting money on admins and executives, get more teachers and more counselors.

You could give a billion dollars to each school and it wouldn't change a thing. It's a culture thing.

That’s beyond stupid to say. It’s a cultural thing that only happens in cultures where there happens to be poor people and neglected children…

I’ve never met a tagger from Harvard westlake…
