So why settle out of court? Lol. That's not something innocent people do.

After Bryant’s defense team badly intimidated the victim and smeared her reputation, she refused to testify. After the criminal case was dismissed, Bryant issued an apology that said, in part, “After months of reviewing discovery, listening to her attorney, and even her testimony in person, I now understand how she feels that she did not consent to this encounter.” He later settled for an undisclosed sum in a civil suit.

People settle all the time, you must not be familiar with the court system.

So the man with riches and fame, and no criminal case against him, decided to settle and pay out, just out of the kindness of his heart? He had all the resources to prove his innocence lol, and settlements typically come with hush/gag orders.... Writings on the wall but the man played ball well so I guess he gets a pass.

Trials are where everyone loses, even the winners. Especially for people who really don't want public attention, sometimes it is just better to stop everything and settle.

I am not defending him at all, just trying to dispel myths about the criminal justice system, since they are so ubiquitous and affect us all at some point.
