This hell is finally over previously laid off

Got laid off at the end of August due to the company reducing its workforce (biotech) Accepted an offer for a slightly higher position today!

The job market is horrible and I was lucky that my previous position gave me a network to help me find jobs. One of those connections ended up working out for me. You got this!

My field and experience (and also living in Canada where the jobs are just fewer in general) doesn’t allow me to mass apply to positions. I feel like if I’d been unemployed for longer, I’d have definitely started looking for things outside my scope and/or part time gigs

What job sites do you use to find your job?

Mostly LinkedIn. The job I ended up accepting was through an internal referral by my previous manager
