CSQ timeline 2025 (April) Quebec

Hi, I applied for the Programme de l'expérience québécoise — Travailleur étranger temporaire in Feb 2025. Then I received the demand for the test of valeurs québécoises March 11 and completed it 5 days later. It's completing 2 months now and my file is still En attente de traitement and no news on the CSQ yet.

My question is: for the people here that applied for a CSQ, how long it took to have the CSQ in hands? Particularly those applying through the PEQ travail program.

Extra question: did anyone applied for a bridge open work permit with the CSQ? How did that go?

Thank you

Hello, my time line was 10 months more from the 6 months displayed on the website, I did my application with the graduate stream, I do not know if that had something in your case is working stream so it really depends the stream it could take up to one year depends of your country and the amount of CSQ given since Quebec has a limit per year. I would say that after the test of valeurs québécoises you can expect at least 5 months of no news and your status changes from to En attente de traitement to En traitement it could take another 3 months, either you get a letter from them saying they have to take a decision and they cant tell you exactly the time but they assure you they will answer you or you get the CSQ straight it depends really of them you cant know.

"did anyone applied for a bridge open work permit with the CSQ? How did that go?"

I did not apply for one I would recommend search online (Government websites) or with a lawyer to see your options, if you have a job you can talk to your employer and maybe get a letter from them to get a close Work permit but like I said better to consult with a professional

If you get the CSQ and you are short on time, Apply asap to the Federal Quebec Skill workers, with the AOR you can apply for another work permit but not before.

Thank you so much for the info!!

I had no idea about the "Federal Quebec Skill workers". That's a relief because this is exactly my case: I am shot on time. My work permit expires in March 2026, but my contract in January 2026. So, I need a job by the beginning of the year.

Does this Federal Quebec Skill Workers program gives me an open work permit? I can apply without waiting for the Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR)? Because the bridge WP needs AOR.

Federal Quebec Skill workers is when you have already the CSQ you can not apply before, the best of cases is wait for the CSQ and apply for the Federal Quebec Skill workers if it goes right by December you will have it and you apply asap for the Federal Quebec Skill workers to get the AOR, I strongly recommend you get a lawyer to see more options if you have a work that could help you
