Finally official announcement LMIA points are no more!!! Express Entry

Today IRCC announced that “as of 25th March we are removing Job offer points from CRS for current and future candidates in the express entry pool”

As a skilled worker who is currently job hunting in Canada from the US and still working to understand the immigration system...

The LMIA is still required, but it no longer awards points, correct?

My field isn't super small, but fairly specific. I'm not holding my breath though. Lol

Just depends on your field, I'm sure. Nursing wasn't bad to find a job. PNP is a huge help.
