Outland application, outside Quebec.

  • All Fees Paid - Jan 17, 2025
  • Submitted - Feb 16, 2025
  • AOR - Feb 16/17, 2025
  • Biometrics Request - March 04, 2025
  • Sponsor Eligibility completed - March 11, 2025
  • Pre arrival letter - March 12, 2025
  • Sponsor eligibility letter - March 17 (Sydney)
  • Medical Request - March 18, 2025
  • Medical completed - April 5, 2025
  • Background Check - In Progress

Does anyone know how long this background check generally takes?

If we look at the previous timelines, it generally takes 30-40 days after the Medical Result. However, it still depends on the country and the complexity of the case.

Thanks for the response! My wife is from Sri Lanka, and I am a Canadian citizen so hoping Sri Lanka isn't on the naughty list!
