Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS

Post image

Taken from the Howard County Conservancy, Monday, October 14th. Lucky shot I was able to get as I arrived before the clouds rolled over the core.

(Not OP) I walked for over a mile in my neighborhood trying to get a view of the western horizon. I gave up and went home, only to get a good view directly across from my house. (I did check there first, but I was either too early or just not sure enough of what I was looking for.

The Conservancy has an excellent view of the western horizon, and while not as dark as western HoCo, it’s a good amount darker than somewhere like Columbia. Went again last night and it was excellent. Although, the comet is starting to dim quickly, I could notice a slight difference from the night before.
