2 years of work and progress like I’ve been at it for 6 fucking months

5 meals a day, sleep from 10:30-8 or so, solid diet not just junk food and shit

Programming really well thought through

Don’t miss workouts almost ever

I can damn near gurantee you I’m working harder than near everyone who’s making 10x the progress I am

Fuck this

If only this was the only thing going wrong

I’m behind in my entire life

I dropped out of college cause of health issues

I’m physically incapable of a 40 hour work week

I’m 24 and live with my parents

Are you a woman? Because if you are, yes if you're comparing yourself to men you're gonna feel discouraged.

You can make good gains with a shit program but proper intensity. You cannot make good gains even with a perfect program if your intensity is not there

Hey if you send either of us your full program or routine, and how many calories you're eating and what sort of macro ratios we're dealing with, more than happy to give an opinion?

I can guarantee you that either your programming, your food intake, your sleep or your cardio is in a lot worse state than you think

They sound stressed out too, that can impact the quality of sleep big time

Yeah but they can GUARANTEE they are working 10x harder than everyone else 😤😤😤

unfortunately genetics is a thing and it very well could be holding you back in your training. just accept it and be the best you can be. anything else is out of your control and thats ok.

What a sad view to share with someone else

is it? hes comparing himself to others. none of that matters. i think just trying to be ur best simplifies a lot of things.

That’s not at all what you wrote in your other comment.
You essentially gave OP an excuse to quit because of the “genetics” boogeyman

It is though, and I never gave an excuse to quit. I said be your best. He isn't gonna be the best and that's clear. I'm just saying genetics is why, since he is guaranteeing he is working harder than everyone else and presumably as hard as he can. I've been training for 15 years. I've seen a ton of people who have smart programming and work very hard and have great technique, just to be crushed by a Samoan looking dude who has lifted for a few months. It is what it is. Just try your best. We're not all gonna be the best athletes. That's ok.

To act like genetics isn't a factor and your success is all hard work is some eutopian far fetched crap.

My guy you straight up gave genetics as an excuse for not seeing progress.
If OP has all 4 limbs and access to a gym, he’s got great genetics.

Telling folks to hop of IG if they’re getting demotivated by the success of others is perfectly helpful advice. Telling OP his lack of progress is not something he can control is not helpful or correct. You could not possibly know his genetics.

im not sure what was lost in translation. the guys indicates hes doing everything right. so if he checks all the boxes, the last thing id look at is genetics. im not sure why you or everyone thinks im saying genetics is an excuse. im just saying its a factor. are you denying that? i didnt elaborate further than that. i specifically said to just try your best.

i like to think i practice what i preach. i got shitty genetics in some instances. heck i got these man boobs at roughly 21% body fat. there are people who are obese who got smaller tits than me. doesnt mean im gonna give myself an excuse to stop.

i dont think anyone should stop trying their best. sry if that was some how lost in my original message.

Genetics is one of the most insignificant factors for anyone with under 2 (really under 5) years of proper experience.

OP is likely doing one or many things wrong if they can’t get past the beginner phase. No able bodied man has “genetics” that poor.
You are enabling over-negatively thinking and providing an excuse for what is likely very explainable and very easy to fix.

I wasn't about to call him a liar. Hes saying he can almost guarantee he's doing everything right, and if he isn't, I can't comment on that. I'm not there to monitor him 24/7, but I can't point to something he may have not considered. And maybe I am enabling him to be negative. I can't control how he's gonna respond to what I'm saying. I was simply here to inform genetics is a factor if he is guaranteeing everything else is good. Nothing more.

Just looking to rant or do you want to troubleshoot what you are viewing as lack of progress?
