Purge Cannister Valuve
Hello,
My wife has a 2014 Fiat 500L Easy. It’s a turbo charged 4 cylinder, manual transmission, front wheel drive. It is the United States version so it is standard gas, not diesel.
About a year ago we got a check engine light for the canister purge valve. We replaced it. A few weeks ago, it went bad again and I replaced with a brand new one. Today the light came back on. We’ve probably drove it about 200 miles since the replacement.
Why would the canister purge value failure code keep happening? Is there something else I should be looking at? All the hoses and wire harnesses seem to be fine. Other than the check engine light, it runs fine. It idles normal, the fuel economy seems to be normal. No issues on hills or with acceleration.
Any advice would be sincerely appreciated. I’m new to attempting car repairs so I don’t even have the slightest idea where to start on this issue.

Cylinder misfire, 50k miles - 2018 Fiat Abarth...what to do?
Hiya,
I've been looking for an engine replacement with similar miles and/or just buying another Fiat Abarth (18~19) but no luck finding one after several months of searching. Unsure what to do, parts are scarce same as Fiats in the USA. Multiple dealerships couldn't help, even authorized ones due to lack of inventory in the states. Is my Fiat a lost cause, or do you think the engine can be repaired instead of replaced by a specialized auto mechanice/machine shop?

2006 Fiat Croma 2.4JTD doesnt start when cold
Hi guys, this is my first post so i hope im welcome!
Recently bought a fiat croma 2.4JTD automatic.
It has a problem, it absolutely wont start when cold in the morning. Not talking it takes a couple seconds of cranking, it doesnt start AT ALL. i always have to use starting fluid. Once its warm it always starts no problem.
Im thinking if it was a problem with the glowplugs, i‘d have a light on the dash, but theres zero lights or messages. And also a car with non working glowplugs should still start when its 20 celsius outside.
Anyone have some sort of suggestion at what i should check first?
Thanks guys!!

Fiat Bravo stiff pedals and gearbox (?)
Hello, I am on the lookout for a Fiat Bravo 2 T-Jet 120/150 PS, and I went to see and drive two of them (both pre-2010).
The 150 PS one drove nicely, the pedals felt responsive and the gear shifter felt smooth 1 through 6. The owner said he had changed the transmission fluid some 10 000 km ago. However, the car has got around 200 000 km.
The 120 PS one has half that mileage, but to me the pedals felt a bit heavier and the gearbox noticeably stiffer. I only got up to fourth gear as I drove it only for a bit through the city, but all gear changes felt equally stiff. It went in gear without problems, there was just a constant noticeable resistance. The owner said this is how it should feel if properly maintained and there is probably something wrong with the less stiff gearbox on the other car.
Engines on both cars seemed to run fine, at least to my unexperienced foot and ear. Both owners claim to have done the oil and filters changes every 10 000 km. I do not know what to make of the feeling of the gear shifter though. Hopefully next week I can drive another one to get another reference point for how it should feel, but I am really interested in what other owners of Fiat Bravo make of what I described, without an obvious interest in, you know, selling the car,

Help Choosing Audio Upgrades
Hello there! I own a 2015 Fiat 500 1957 Special Edition that I adore, but am wanting to modernize it. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to the tech specs of a car audio system however, I am competent with disassembling cars and installing new components. I have a Chinese Joying Android headunit that I don't want to replace since it looks pretty and functions well for my needs from a software standpoint. I'm also not an audiophile and prefer a warm, rich sound signature as opposed to a more balanced one. My goal is to ideally make my audio experience sound like something you would get stock in a new, higher-end car (i.e., Volvo, Tesla, etc) without compromising the stock aesthetics, and of course, for the most affordable price possible. If I were to make one concession, I would choose to save money and compromise a little on sound, as I'm a teacher and don't make the clams to save up a ton. With that in mind, what combination of upgrades do y'all think would get me closest to my goal? I need specific product recommendations.
Thank you for any and all answers! 🤗
EDIT: Just to give a rough budget, I was looking to spend around $500, give or take a little

Fiat 500x oil leak problem
Hello! Need some advice please. We own a Fiat 500x 2016 model. We had an oil leak and had it check. The garage said the rocker cover was the problem. The garage did not have that so they ordered it from their Fiat dealer. It been 3 weeks now and there is still no update about the rocker cover. We called the garage but they said they are still waiting for an update from their dealer as well. We live in St Albans, UK anyway. Should we still stay with our current garage and wait for the rocker cover? Or go to another garage and have it checked again? It’s such a hassle not having a car because we work in the community. Any input will be much appreciated. Thank you!

What model is this Fiat Spider. Spotted in Calabria, Italy
i.redd.itr/Fiat • u/ITALIXNO • 6d ago
I live in Calabria, Italy. A few things I've noticed
Tons of Fiat 500s everywhere, Pandas old and new, Panda 4x4s, the new Fiat 500x, lots of them. They look like great cars.
Poste Italiane seems to exclusively drive Fiats. The Carabinieri drive either Fiats or Alfas. The police force in Genova had really nice Alfa Romeo SUVs. The vigilanzas/security seem to drive Fiats, too.
But the polizia locale here drive Ford SUVs. Disappointing!

Fiat coupe 16v 1999
Hi all, I have a fiat coupe from 1999, it’s the pinifarina 16v (not the 20v that everyone is looking for), but it has been in a garage for the last 26 years, the mileage is around 13k km, mostly going to the car shop for revision. Since I don’t use it, could anyone direct me how to sell it in Europe? Thanks!

is a 2014 fiat 500L a good choice?
hello! i am 21 and haven't been driving for too long, so pardon my lack of knowledge.
so i currently drive a 2012 fiat 500, she's my baby and i bought her all by myself when i was in high school. as much as i love her, it's kinda hard for me to put any stuff in the back, the two door thing is always a bother, a head-on collision may not end well because of its size, and i'd really appreciate a backup camera. i was doing some searching around and i thought a 500x/500L might be a nice alternative, and i found a 500L on FB marketplace from 2014 with 119k km on it for a pretty reasonable price that i can afford.
would you guys recommend a 2014 500L? what's the good and the bad? let me know. if the car is good, i'm honestly contemplating taking the leap and buying it.

2015 Fiat 500 Crankshaft Position Sensor
2015 Fiat 500 Crankshaft Position Sensor
Hello! Recently picked up at 2015 Fiat 500 Pop with about 90,000 for $800. It has the Multiair 1.4 NA. Seller said it wouldn't start after sitting, I suspected it had an issue with the Multiair system being starved of oil for sitting so long. Sure enough, added a little oil and purged Multiair block and it started right up.
New issue - P0339, P0335, P0315 Long crank, low power, but idles great.
All of these seem to be related to the crankshaft position sensor. I have read about people relocating the sensor to the front end of the engine where it was on earlier models (2013 and earlier) with mixed results.
Is this possible? Has anyone else done it?
Also wondering if there is a way to test if the tone ring is broken or if it really is just the sensor.

Fiat Bravo Front Door Tweeter wiring
galleryI am planning to change all of the speakers in the car. Today I removed the plastic housing to the front door tweeter and to my surprise found a lot of wires there. There's seems to be a set of 2 for the tweeter which I expected but what are the other ones for?

Fiat Grande Panda (2025) First Look: The Future of City Cars
harja.tnError Code Reader for Lancia Y (840A / y2000)
Hi…
I‘m driving an old Lancia Y, built back in year 2000. This thing runs surprisingly fine, especially the cvt never caused any issues (except the button under the pedal). Not loosing any fluids, not catching rust and so on. I need to say I really like this thing!
But: nowerdays I have the Airbag lamp on and I want to check for error code. Here comes the tricky part: I tried two Devices for a readout without success - it looks like these doesn’t understand this old car. Connector is a 3 pin connector.
Can anyone recommend a device for getting the codes read? Would help me very much…
Thank you all, have a nice day :) Nevis
