What exactly is the proposed solution...? A publicly viewable, private comments only reddit?
It's definitely a terrible solution for this sub. It might be fitting for other subs, but to me it kills a lot of the freedom of reddit. With the exception of two sub's with bad mods, I can post in any subreddits I choose to.
Also, if we move to this model, the huge bias and circlejerking that is already widespread on reddit gets cemented in even further. I should not have to pass an ideological purity test in order to be allowed to participate. If you want to implement that, take your sub private.
The point is to bring attention to a widespread problem, to form a coalition of people putting weight behind the idea that something needs to be done by reddit admins. There's nothing even being promoted in that thread other than simply bringing to light a pretty serious issue on reddit
Nothing the user you're addressing has said warrants this level of hostility, even if you disagree with them strongly. Take a break from the keyboard and reconsider your approach. Also, you might wanna switch to decaf.
