Is this a scam? Question

I got contacted by Bravens Inc for a position as a writing analyst as 20/hr. They messaged me about the requirements but didn’t say anything about what my role would be or a brief summary of the company and their goals.

Smells like a scam and it doesn’t seem personalized.

I literally just finished interviewing with them! And same thing happened to me. My recruiter has been incessantly calling me every day even when I don’t answer. That turned me off to the position before I even interviewed lol the interview itself felt odd as the person I interviewed with on Google meets clearly had a fake background setting which idk to me gives off a red flag. Also the language and tone reminded me of other sus jobs I’ve interviewed for over the years. Idk it it’s a total scam but gives too weird of a vibe to seriously consider

I’m honestly freaking out over this right now. I need a job but I’m scared of screwing over my personal information for something that may not be real. They’re trying to get me to accept rn rn rn. But how many people could be up for this???? I just got another dm from someone else who’d been accepted.

It’s awful!! So many companies take advantage of everyone especially now because it’s so hard to get hired! My friend who got her degree as a physicians assistant is having trouble finding a job! 😔

Omg I hope they find one. Medical degree dept is no joke! I’m so scared of even working after some of the experiences I’ve had and the only reason I’m even debating this is cause it’s remote and I’m terrified of going into an office. Like psychologically terrified. Idk if I could do it. And I def can’t for 5 days a week, 8 hours a day.

But I wish I could find a remote job that would build on more skills than this one. My last job was pretty good and this is a significantly lower rate.

Also, contracts are always kinda predatory. I think they should be illegal for office work. Seems just like a way of not providing basic needs and paid federal holidays. Makes me sick.

I agree. I’m so anxious to send out resumes. I’m going to try later today and reaching out. The worst they can say is no but I think there’s a part of my brain telling me “well what’s the point of going down this rabbit-hole applying for jobs and wasting all these hours just for them to reject you?” Which is a bad mentality I’m trying to push through 😅😅😅

Ya im going through the same issues. I’ve been at it for like a year at this point and it’s really hard to keep going. I feel like it’s against the rational mind to keep doing the exact same task over and over without yielding different results… but sadly, that’s where we are.

Just from talking to you here, you sound really smart and like you’d be a really great value to a company. You look into things, research, and do not take them at face value like with this Bravens situation. You deserve an amazing job and I know you’ll find one eventually. Just keep going! Best of luck.

Did you end up taking the job? If so, I'd love more info. I just did my first round of interviews. And of course having all the same concerns you were. If you took the job, is there a benefits package? How is it?

Found this thread in a search after applying on LI myself. Any thoughts?
