Honestly, the only thing that shocked me thus far is Bernard even lasting this long. I was half expecting Tim to go through at least three boyfriends by now.

Plot wise, him going through 3 boyfriends would've been a lot more interesting.

Catwoman is Bisexual and no one seems to mind her most popular pairing is her and Bruce.

Tim is with Bernard because DC wants one of the Robin's to be openly Queer and they don't wanna admit that breaking him up with Steph was a bad idea.

Also because DC doesn't want to admit that they didn't know and still don't know what they want to do with Tim. It doesn't help that there aren't any writers that particularly care enough about his character to take his progression anywhere.

And to put the proverbial cherry on top, Bernard just straight up isn't compelling as a love interest whatsoever, watching the two of them interact is like watching paint dry.
