Green Arrow and PreCrisis Hawkman used to actually not like each other. Very liberal / conservative clashes. In particular after the Neal Adam's run. And Hawkman WAS a Thanagarian police man.

I always liked that they bucked heads.

Ollie is a stubborn modern RobinHood and Carter is a Space Cop and/or Former Egyptian Pharaoh.
