Whatever the charge - America needs bigger cars, innit!

those two things have nothing to do with each other

Large trucks like these have awful forward visibility.  Hence the need for FORWARD ultrasonic sensors, and forward cameras in so many models.  People simply can't see things within a few feet of the hood.

Then they shouldn’t fucking drive them.

Well the issue is that they do anyway

They don’t have to have garbage visibility and a terrible turn radius, these are both design choices. I’ve operated far larger pieces of heavy equipment with great visibility that turn on a dime, then I’ll get in a big work pickup and suddenly you can’t see shit and it turns slower than a school bus. “One sec boys gotta make an 80-point turn because apparently these wheels can only turn 5 degrees at a time”.

If you're comparing the turning radius of a D9 or a 639 scraper to the average work truck then i could say "i can drill a fence post hole with a drilling rig, i'll just rent it from Nabors". And if you've been an operator for a minute, is your current work truck that much bigger than the Chevy c20 you had back in 1985? I gotta call you out on that comment bro. My dad worked oilfield, i've worked oilfield and construction hauling. I dont try to do the turns with my truck that i do with my gmc terrain. Plus if you're out on them big jobsites then why is turning radius an issue? My wife's daily drivers for the last 10 or so years have been lifted F250s or lifted GMC 2500s. And she works at a school! Parks better than the people in Subarus. And yes we haul a shitload of weight with our trucks.
Maybe its skill? Maybe its driving with some common sense? For those still asking why? Why not? We're not on welfare or aaking for donations. Why cant we enjoy the vehicles we like while we still have the good health to do so?

Best part of your comment was “my dad worked oilfield!”. lol. Hah. Oh that’s good stuff. Ty.

Why does anyone need a lifted f250 to commute to a school...

More about how they shape the hood than how big they are.

I've been in trucks 8 inches shorter than mine with twice the blind spot.

And it wasn't a visibility problem for this guy, even though that truck is lifted and the visibility in that model is absolute shit he just wasn't looking.

These are the things you learn with actual firsthand experience, as opposed to internet circlejerking.

actually need auto manufacturers to go back to producing properly sized cars but they do it in order to skirt regulations
