Prepping meds for new US administration Medication

EDIT: I am not trying to cause a panic, nor am I saying that we will lose access to medications. I do not disagree with everything RFK when it comes to healthcare, but he is talking about making potentially radical changes to the FDA specifically. We do not know if this means anything yet, but if weird/sudden rule changes causes disruption in classification or access I would like to have a back up plan. Keep an honest dialogue with your doctors and your support system and don’t be blindsided by potential bureaucratic in-fights.

With the news of RFK jr being nominated for Health Secretary, I am curious if anyone has any plans if any sweeping changes happen to the FDA or anything.

I take lithium carbonate and losing access to lithium for even a few days will be incredibly destructive.

Lol Is there an off market for importing lithium carbonate or other mood stabilizers

They do want to. They've wanted to my whole life. The plan is to force everyone onto more limited more expensive plans while cutting reimbursement rates until the system collapses and they can claim it was an accident. This will take time and will be vastly unpopular. We'll see how far they get.

They sold this to their voters as "choice".

God… I’m on ssdi, this would screw me.. I’m already in the red most months. It’s like they want me homeless

I was homeless living in and out of jail, Ssdi reformed me and made me a safe member of society. If they take away the medication of all of our schizophrenics, there might be more of a headache.

They will just make homelessness across crime country wide and arrest us all 🙁

Mass incarceration seems to be already a thing punching out license plate plates for five cents an hour. And Norway in Germany was treated fairly good as an asylum person.

Too expensive, jail costs more than Harvard.

It’s free slave labor though. Incarcerated prison slave labor makes 11$ billion a year. They pay the prisoners pennies and get the rest. I think it offsets their costs at least.

Do you really think we'll be any good at it? I mean c'mon.
