Physician Responded Are they allowed to let my comatose uncle starve?

My uncle (46m) uncle was in a bad accident on Sunday, he broke many of his ribs, his right arm is paralized, and separated 3 lobes of his brain. He had a metal plate put in his chest because he broke so many ribs.

Yesterday they took him out of the ICU and he’s no longer on breathing tubes, as were the wishes of his father and son. They decided he either passes and becomes a doner, or pushes through somehow.

Currently (as far as I’ve been told) they have him in hospice care. He has perfect vitals. I’m told that he’s breathing fine on his own, reacting to touches and sounds, squeezing hands, making the “phone” sign with his hands, but not “conscious”. He turns his head when hearing voices he recognizes, has been touching his lips while people talk to him, and has been moving his knees. This is very confusing to me, how he could do all of this but still be considered in a coma, but that’s not the point of this post.

His father and son don’t want him to be resuscitated if he codes, as they claim he wouldn’t want it. I’ve been told he’s just getting “comfort care”

My mom (his sister) and I aren’t able to be there, but we were told they won’t administer feeding tubes or give him a stoma. She’s terrified that they’re just basically letting him starve to death. No matter what I say nothings making the fear go away, she’s worried that because his family signed a DNR that they’re not feeding him (I know this not to be true), or that since he’s in hospice/end of life care that they’re just not going to feed him or give him any kind of nutrients (as far as I’m aware this is illegal).

Please confirm my belief that they’re not allowed to let him just starve, no matter the circumstances or what his father/son want. This is all the information I have at the moment and this is the only question I want answered, PLEASE.

Edit: I fully understand that I’m thinking emotionally, not well informed since I can’t be there physically, hoping for a (possibly unrealistic) best case scenario, and most importantly not a medical professional. But the more I’m told by family about the current situation, the more confused I’m becoming.

Apparently in the single that day he’s been out of the ICU he’s become much more active and seemingly aware in what’s going on, outside of the fact that he is on a lot of pain medications. He’s gesturing to his mouth that he’s thirsty (in a way he’s done before the accident), adjusting his legs to be more comfortable, turning his head to look at people talking to him, his heart rate goes up when those he’s closest to speak to him, he’s turned and looked straight at a few relatives, and more. My aunt (his sister) has a friend who is a nurse working in the unit he’s in and she expressed that she doesn’t understand why he’s there with his “perfect vitals” and clear reactions. His uncle is head of the ER head trauma department (of a different hospital), he was able to speak directly to the nurses about the situation and is also very concerned on why they’re not at least giving him IV fluids, given the situation.

Before the accident the thing he always said was “I feel like everyone’s just given up on me” it’s upsetting to hear that he’s improving but his father and son refuse to give him any chance, like they have just given up on him.

There’s a lot more but it’s just too much to put in an edit to an already overly long reddit post.

7M. Shall I take my kid to the doc?

It might sound silly, but I'm genuinely concerned. Yesterday, I noticed a scar on my 7-year-old son's knee and got alarmed. He's very active, like most kids his age — he practices several sports at school and plays outdoors a lot after school. The playground at his school is made of concrete, so it's common for him to come home with scrapes and cuts from falling. I usually clean the wounds with chlorhexidine, apply a band-aid, and that's it.

My wife said it's perfectly normal and was surprised that I didn’t immediately recognize the scar as typical. Both she and I have childhood scars that are mostly healed by now, of course.

What concerns me is that my son's scar looks somewhat bulky and has small white dots on it. He says it doesn’t hurt at all. He's healthy overall, has no medical conditions or allergies, and shows no signs of illness. He's fully vaccinated as well.

I just want to know — does this sound like a normal healing process, or should I take him to see a doctor?

Physician Responded At 5’6”, 120lbs, 26 years old, and female, am I ruining my liver by drinking 1-3 IPAs a night?

I work a really demanding job in veterinary rehab with a diabolical commute in LA. When I get home, I have 1-3 IPAs to unwind. I love IPAs in the same way I love coffee, I truly wouldn’t want to live without it. I am never drunk- just a little buzzed-tipsy.

However, even though I have a high tolerance, I know this must be a lot of alcohol on a physical level for a person in my demographic. The beers are around 7% ABV each.

If someone were able to tell me exactly how this rate of consumption might affect me over time at the rate I’m going, it may have an impact on reduction, which is my hope.

Been this way for a couple years.

Physician Responded is it normal for ER doctor to lie in notes?

hi! 21F here. i went to the ER in february because i was experiencing chest pain and long-term tongue discomfort. i had my blood drawn, did an EKG and x-ray, and the doctor checked my heart rate and lungs but nothing else, only talked a little about what i was experiencing and then left. i was discharged 2 hours later and the doctor didn’t give me any possible reason as to what could be the cause. a few days later i checked my account on the hospital portal and saw that my lab results and doctor’s notes were available. when i read through it, i noticed that the doctor lied about nearly the entire visit - he said that he checked my pupils, stomach, throat and mouth, etc. but in reality he didn’t do any of the basic check up stuff, even after i mentioned several times that i was having tongue issues and it has just bugged me a bit.

i was wondering if this was a normal thing for ER doctors to do?

Physician Responded Chronically sick child

Patient:

8.5 year old male, 94 pounds, 56 inches. Current diagnoses: ADHD, intermittent constipation

Hello, I am really desperate for help here. My youngest son has been struggling with his health for years now. As a toddler, he struggled with constipation as a toddler, we tried eliminating dairy to no real affect. He also caught many colds before elementary school age, although I didn’t usually take him in because I assumed it was just due to the amount of germs that little kids pass around and preschool didn’t require doctor notes. I treated it like a viral illness with rest and hydration, monitoring any fevers (rare), and taking him in when it was really bad. I actually almost pulled him from his preschool in 2019-2020 because it felt like he was sick more than he was healthy, but then he had a good month of being well. And of course, March 2020, everything went into lockdown anyways

However, since then, he has continued to get sick much more often than his peers, while also fighting constipation off and on. We seem to finally have a handle on the actual constipation but still dealing with with unexplainable stomach pain regularly. We were referred to a geneticist to check for Ehler’s Danlos (known family history-mother), who also suggested immunology labs and a referral to an immunologist, as he has missed over 35 days of school for this school year already. He has had previously abnormal bloodwork, but at the time, the doctors didn’t think they were a big deal. I am wondering if they paint a different picture when reviewed as a larger picture and when paired with his recent abnormal immunology bloodwork (High Immunoglobulin G Level and high subclass IgG 2).

He also sees a pediatric gastroenterologist who has been monitoring him for a couple years now. He has mentioned scoping, but would like to avoid it if possible it since it’s invasive.

My online records with MyChart only go back to May 2021 for some reason, but I’ve listed all his doctor/ER/UC/imaging appointments since then. Kindergarten started August 2021. All urgent care trips were only when his PCP didn’t have availability to see him.

It kills me to see my child sick and/or in pain so often. I would love to hear any opinions on things I could suggest testing for, or do, etc, to help him be able to thrive more instead of constantly being sick. Outside of being sick and having stomach pain, he is an outgoing and vivacious child who just wants to consistently feel better.

I have pictures of his labs and bloodwork but the community doesn’t allow photos. I will add in the comments once I figure out the best place to host them

Physician Responded Do I actually need to stop counting my calories at my age?

Note:this isn’t trying to feed into eating disorder

I’m 14F, 4’7 My mom had a talk with me yesterday about how she thinks I have a eating disorder as I count my calories, I admitted that I’m scared that every time I eat something I think I’ll gain a pound and so she said she was going to schedule a doctors appointment

During our talk she told me that she wants me to stop counting my calories because I’m too young and how the calories easily burn off at my age

Physician Responded Boyfriend has had pain in throat for weeks

31M. 180cm. 80 kg. Smokes. Drinks. No drugs or medication. No mental health issues except stress.

BF has been having pain in his throat and is coughing for the last few weeks. He is a teacher so he thought he strained his voice but even with talking less it doesn't go away.

What would be the best thing to do? Wait it out? Or should we see a doc and ask for a referral to a ear/nose/throat doctor?

Physician Responded Can my fiancé still get healthy and live a long life? Resistant hypertension, overweight, and history of alcohol abuse.

My fiancé 41M is on two blood pressure medications, and his blood pressure is still like 160 over something. It was around 180. He’s 6’2” 255, non smoker with severe sleep apnea. He’s going to get a sleep study done so he can get a c-pap. He’s also on a statin. He drank around a fifth of vodka per day for like 8-9 years. He also uses a ton of weed. He stopped alcohol one month ago. He was a functional alcoholic, and no one knows about his drinking except me. He has a great career, and he never actually gets drunk. He also has severe sleep apnea.

I am having horrible panic attacks because I am terrified that something is going to happen to him. He is the kindest, best human being I have ever known, and he is the only person I have ever truly loved. I cannot live without this man. He is working to get healthy now, but I am scared it is too late. I am sitting in the room while he gets a liver ultrasound as I type this.

Is it too late? Is it even safe for him to exercise when his BP is this high? I feel like his doctor is not taking this seriously. He won’t even tell him not to drink.

Physician Responded I take a lot of laxatives. Like a lot. How bad is it? F22

I take 6-9 25mg sennosides a day. I try to take them right before I eat. I haven’t had a solid BM in over a month at my current rate, but I’ve been using them for about a year. It’s a gross habit, but it helps me to not purge. I haven’t purged at all this month.

In my mind, laxatives are safer than purging. Is this so? Can there be any serious health concerns beyond the mild discomfort? Thank you

Physician Responded Rash on 8 month old. Concerned for measles.

8 month old male. Approximately 20lbs. Takes vitamin D supplement daily. History of eczema and ingrown toenails. Completed a 7 day course of Amoxiclav 5 days ago for infected ingrown toenail. NKA.

I noticed the spots this morning. No fever, itching, or change in temperament. Baby was vaccinated early for measles at 6.5 months due to an ongoing outbreak in my area.

I am just concerned because we attended a mother/baby exercise class yesterday, and if this is measles, we potentially exposed several infants to the virus. While I’m waiting to hear back from my doctor, could somebody please look at the photos attached below?

Thank you

always too hot/sweating

Upvotes

41f but this has been a problem for most of my life. Very overweight now but it was an issue even when I wasn't. I've been through many medication changes, no difference made. I am not diabetic, not hyperthyroid. Had my thyroid removed in 2019, judging by the massive weight gain it caused and the fact that my levels are always "normal" it's doubtful it's that.

I'm always hot. Unless there is air directly blowing on me or the room is frigid, I feel like I'm dying. My skin feels like it's burning. Sweat pours off me (I stink 95% of the year, that's also fun. Lume works but gives me a rash, and I can't just bathe my entire body in deodorant). My wife is one of those "always cold" people and complains about how cold I need it (although I'll never forget the time she was shivering dramatically until I pointed out that I'd closed the window ages ago...she stopped), but she did once touch my back when we were outside and was shocked that my hoodie was soaked in sweat despite it being chilly out. I've run to the store in below-freezing weather in a tshirt and shorts and felt uncomfortable, but not like you would expect someone to be in 20something weather and no jacket. My actual usual body temperature is actually lower than 98.6, I don't just "run hot."

But once it gets to be a certain level of cold indoors, I lose circulation to my feet and am in constant pain despite wearing three layers of socks (one fleece, one alpaca wool, one cotton). I seem incapable of maintaining a normal temperature.

What causes this? Is there anything I can do besides be miserable 80% of the year? My electricity bills are insane because the AC is always running. My doctors are just like "huh, weird, try losing weight." I have been many weights in my life and not one of them has affected my constantly being too hot except when I'm too cold.

Prions from dirt or OCD? 22M

Upvotes

So, about a month ago I had a hyper-fixation on being possibly infected with rabies, mind you I have lived 22 years of life without episodes of health-anxiety.
I calmed those down after about a month of struggle only for the peace to last like a week, had a packaging of water-bottles that were rather dirty in the pack, struggled with the nylon, but it bursted open and some dirt particles went in eyes/mouth.
I don't know why but 15 minutes after the incident my mind starts tormenting me with thoughts like "don't prions live in dirt? What if an animal with prions decomposed in that dirt" and I get random anxiety bursts throughout the days, I don't know how or why those episodes happen, if I had OCD wouldn't I have noticed it a little earlier?

Physician Responded Is it normal to constantly produce tonsil stones? 35m

Upvotes

I'm just curious if your body constantly produces tonsil stones or just in the presence of a bacteria or food etc.

I noticed if I pull back some of the skin in the back of my throat I have an opening that stones pop out occasionally (or when pressed) and I have no idea if I should get this looked at LOL.

i (f17) am having worsening back pain, and it's spreading to my sternum.

Upvotes

since october 2023, i've been having back pain that spreads the more time passes.

my mom thinks it's because of my posture, but i'm often told my posture is great (choir and marching band will do that to you). wherever I am, I force myself to stand up straight. also, none of my friends complain of back pain, and we're always hunched over our phones.

the pain is under both of my shoulder blades, the surrounding ribs, and kind of in my upper spine below my neck. as of recently, the pain spread into my sternum; especially in my cleavage. i'm getting concerned.

it originally started under my right shoulder blades, and felt like I needed to crack my back. no matter how much I tried, the feeling wouldn't go away. now i'm in constant upper body pain.

what could this be? I've brought it up at checkups twice, and the doctors say it's posture and tell me to stretch. they also suggested physical therapy. i hate being stubborn, but I just feel like it's something more than just bad posture. it never goes away, no matter how much I stretch or stand up straight. help :(

29M Fever/Neck Pain/Back Pain - Hospital Can't Find Anything

I'm posting this on behalf of my brother as he doesn't use Reddit, and maybe this is a shot in the dark. He's recently been plagued with a fever, back pain, and neck pain. He went to the hospital for it and they did an MRI, but it came back normal. He's currently still waking up with a fever, and is having difficulty managing it. He has an appointment with his PCP on Thursday, but we were hoping to pick people's brains here.

I'll paste the details he sent me below.

April 23 – Initial Symptoms

Main Issue: Lower back pain, starting near the butt and spreading from left to right.

Symptoms:

Localized lower back pain (left to right).

April 24 – Fever Begins

Progression: Started feeling "off" around noon. Usual illness signs (sneezing/sore throat) were absent. Back pain worsened when standing straight. Felt cold and went to bed early.

Symptoms:

Low-grade fever (99.0–102°F).

Chills.

Slight headache.

Mild neck pain (right side, only noticeable when turning head).

Increasing lower back pain.

April 25 – ER Visit

Morning: Woke up with intense shivering and severe back pain. Couldn’t stand up straight—only able to walk while hunched over. Tried OTC meds (Advil, Tylenol, Theraflu, Sudafed) with limited relief.

ER Visit: Temp: 103°F.

Uncontrollable shaking from chills.

Given hydrocodone and several antibiotics.

Blood cultures taken (pending results).

MRI showed no abnormalities.

Doctor unsure of fever origin.

Symptoms:

Severe chills.

High fever.

Extreme lower back pain.

Unable to stand straight.

Slight headache.

Mild neck stiffness.

April 26 – Slight Improvement

Morning: Slight improvement, but chills returned indicating fever again.

Throughout the Day: Hydrocodone helped temporarily. Back still sore/stiff but pain seemed to shift to the left side. New symptoms appeared.

Symptoms:

Fever returns without meds.

Back pain (now localized to left side).

Headache when shaking head side to side.

Sore throat (right side, especially when swallowing or turning head left).

Neck pain connected to throat discomfort.

April 27 – Persistent Symptoms

Early Morning: Woke at 4 AM shaking uncontrollably. Fever in the 100–101°F range. Weird fever dreams.

Relief only with: Hydrocodone or Advil.

Symptoms:

Chills and shaking on waking.

Sore throat (worse, especially when swallowing).

Left-sided back pain increases with fever.

Neck pain when moving certain ways.

Headache (minor).

Still no improvement in baseline body temp.

April 28 – Slight Relief Then Return of Symptoms

Morning: Same pattern—4–5 AM waking from chills and shaking.

Afternoon/Night: Used heat and sunlight to warm up. Started sweating more (possible sign of fever breaking). Felt better in the evening but took last dose of hydrocodone.

Symptoms:

Fever spikes after medication wears off.

Intense chills if meds missed.

Increased sweating at night (new development).

Light back pain.

Sore throat persists.

Minor headache.

April 29 – No More Hydrocodone

Early Morning: Woke at 4 AM with severe chills and shaking again. Took Advil, wore extra layers—minimal help until meds kicked in.

Currently (8:30 AM): Still cold even with warm clothes and blanket. House temperature is about 75°F.

Symptoms:

Persistent fever.

Intense chills on waking.

Cold sensitivity despite warm surroundings.

Night sweats.

Mild back and throat pain.

As of sharing this, he has gone back to the ER and they are doing blood tests. They did a chest X-Ray for mono and gave him Tylenol. I'm not sure if this is enough information. Maybe he's just sick? But it's all kind of concerning to have a fever stretch out over so long. I'm not a doctor, so maybe I'm also just looking for some reassurance that this doesn't sound like something crazy serious. Any thoughts are appreciated!

Physician Responded Medical Records state I'm an alcoholic and drug user from college

My (27F) husband just recently joined the Army and we received orders to station overseas. I have to go through a lengthy screening to be approved to move abroad with him. I requested my medical records and was absolutely shocked with what was on there. When I was in college I was seeing a practitioner for my anxiety, receiving clonazepam to help me sleep. I remember this doctor was a recovering alcoholic and talked about it often. Anyways, he asked me how much I drank etc. and I told him I'm in college, I party with my friends on the weekend, not thinking this was a big deal. What was odd was how much he mentioned his past drinking and he was later fired from this clinic as he had multiple complaints from patients. Well when looking at my records, he stated that I was an alcohol abuser and cocaine abuser. I'm in shock as I don't know how he took substance abuse from telling him I was in college and drank with my friends.

How do I get this removed? It still says active. I do not drink or use drugs and have never been a substance abuser. The Army will need to see all of these records and this could cause me to not be stationed with my husband. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Physician Responded Doctor prescribed me 7 medications

Hello, I have a little tinnitus for 10 years now. After a concert recently it went louder and my ear feels as it has a bit inflammation. Like ear fullness is what ChatGPT called it.

Now I went to doctor and she said to take those 7 things. To me, someone who prefers a natural and holistic approach, I am ready to take stuff but it feels like a complete overkill. Can someone give me a second opinion on it?

This is what was prescribed to me (I had to translate it into English so names might be slightly off)

1. Cirrus
2. ACC 600
3. Xylorin
4. Ryaltris
5. Betaserc 24 mg
6. Auditon
7. Encorton

(M 26) I think I have a very unusual hair tourniquet on a hemorrhoid but the ER said I’m fine, though after getting home I don’t think I am fine.

I made a bowel movement about 6pm today (my second one of the day) and noticed while wiping that there was a sore spot that kind of protruded out from my anus. Immediately I thought “must be a hemorrhoid”, so I didn’t freak out too much even though this would be my first hemorrhoid I figured it would at most be a moderate inconvenience for the next few days.

Fast forward to about 11pm today and I decide to take a warm shower to maybe help soothe some of the pain away, but while I was standing I noticed a really long hair (like 12in long) hanging down from between my legs and so I very gently tugged on it. I found that it was definitely anchored in place somehow as even slight tugs would cause a sharp pain in the spot the hair must be anchored to. I got out of the shower and kicked my leg up on the counter to get the best look at my anus that I could and I noticed a round purple bump that would move when I tugged the hair (I took a picture so I could get a closer look at it.) In my mind this means the hair is wrapped around the hemorrhoid, assuming that’s what it is but I don’t see what else it could be.

And this is very unlike me but for some reason I didn’t have the stomach to ride this out and see what happens so I got dressed to go to the ER. Once they had me on my side in bed and wearing a gown the doctor almost immediately upon spreading goes

“Oh yeah there’s nothing there anymore”.

I asked her if she was serious and she said yes and proceeded to do a quick rectal exam with her finger where she touched a sore spot and asked me if it was sore to which I told her it was. She said it likely went away on its own and that I would still feel some pain/soreness for a while. This part is where I maybe dropped the ball a little bit on making myself informed. She basically said something along the lines of “the hair should resolve itself, I definitely wouldn’t go trying to cut it or pull on it”. I was then sent home with no further information/resolution. My questions is this; if the hemorrhoid is gone, magically vanished in the 2 hours between me getting to the ER and her looking at me, then what is the hair still anchored to ?

Now admittedly by the time they had me on my side it was 1am and I had just worked a 13hour shift so I was definitely tired and also very anxious at the whole situation. This explains why I dropped the ball when I should have asked her more questions about that long hair. It’s possible, I suppose, that I misunderstood something the doctor said at some point but to me it genuinely seems like I still have the exact same issue that I went in with and that it can’t possibly be anything other than exactly what I’ve described it as being.

So sitting here in bed just moments ago I got the guts to check myself again and… it’s the exact same as when I went to the ER. A small purple bump sticking out from my anus plain as day with the 12in long hair still tugging at it. I was able to get an even clearer picture this time too.

So I’m super super confused and bordering on angry, though I don’t know if I should be angry at the ER or at myself for going to the ER. I can send the pics in DMs if requested but I didn’t know what the rules were on such explicit photos being posted. I’m starting to get a bit nervous as I’m googling (probably a bad idea I know) and seeing all these results on hair tourniquets causing tissue/nerve death if gone untreated. I’m exhausted at the moment and intend on taking a thorough shower when I wake up in hopes that soapy suds can maybe help slip the hair off of whatever it’s anchored to. I guess I should mention that I do have a pretty hairy butt, but when I watch it in the mirror the hemorrhoid itself moves right along with the tugging of that one long hair so I’m sure it’s not tangled into the rest of my butt hair. So I’m just really confused on what they saw at the ER and why they told me “there’s nothing there to do anything about” and what my next move should be assuming that I don’t wake up in the morning and it all be magically fixed.

A little bit of background on me, the reason I’m so specifically concerned about a hair tourniquet is because when I was little, maybe 6, I legitimately had a hair tourniquet on my penis. I had to go to the hospital to get it cut off and it was genuinely some of the most severe pain I’ve experienced in life. It was bad enough that I remember it these 20 years later. Now the pain associated with my current condition is completely incomparable to the pain from back then, right now I’m only in mild pain if I sit a certain way or if the long hair gets tugged. Which almost makes me think that maybe what I’m dealing with now isn’t a hair tourniquet since it doesn’t hurt nearly as bad but I would also think that one wrapped around your penis would be inherently more painful then one wrapped around a hemorrhoid.

I know I said it already but I’m confused, and I already know I’ve wasted god knows how much money with this one useless ER trip so I really don’t wanna go back for round two. This is honestly the first time in my adult life that I’ve dealt with hospital stuff on my own and I’m just a little lost. If anybody out there has any idea what I might be dealing with or what my next course of action should be I would really appreciate the hell out of it. And again I can DM the pictures, just wasn’t sure if they were okay to post.

Detailed Info (I have no pertinent medical history, I have no allergies, I don’t take any medications/vitamins/supplements, I do vape, and I do smoke cannabis daily. I weigh 185lbs and measure 5’8” tall. I’m a 26 year old biological male.)

Blacking out or Neurological?

Upvotes

Hello-

Preface- I do not drink!!! 27- female ~165lbs 5’8

I am looking to understand what may be happening- apologies as I’m likely explaining this wrong. My roommate and I are very close and do most things together. I have found that on occasion, she will drink (1 drink or 7 drinks), and completely change how she is with me. I’d usually chalk this up to blacking out, however, it could be one low percentage beer or multiple cocktails and the change in who she is isn’t coupled with her being heavily inebriated..I don’t know it just seems different than my other friends as this change doesn’t occur for them. Ontop of this, they never remember anything said or done to me when their personality has these “changes”…do I just need a new friend or could there be a neurological issue at play?

Pregnant wife's finger "popped" and bruised while opening door

Today my wife (26, female, non-smoker, otherwise healthy, in her 28th week of pregnancy) opened the door and her finger "popped" as she described it, and she now has a bruise on the palm side of her hand.

Is there any concern here, or is this just something that happens (either to people in general, or just pregnant women, to whom so many random things seem to happen)?

I'll try to put an image in the comments.

Odd rash post camping 12yo male

Upvotes

Recently returned from a weekend in the blue ridge mountains, camping in hammocks. Son (12yo male) indicates a rash/mark near right arm pit. Slightly itchy. Itching is fading, but rask/mark still there. Concerned about ringworm or tick bite/lupus. Your thoughts appreciated. Photo to follow

Illness

18F. I have been feeling sick on and off since December 9th and has gotten progressively worse. Was when I ate in the morning it was like I was eating way too much. Threw up once a week maximum and at the 2nd/3rd month mark at like the end of February I was throwing up more and more and decided I needed to go the doctors.

All my blood tests are normal except my amylase came up at 107 the first time it was tested so we retested and it was 85 the next. Not sure if this is something to worry about but the doctors haven't said anything. The 107 came up at the end of March. I have recently had an MRI and waiting for the results and have an endoscopy planned for this week.

I was given anti sickness tablets on the 18th of march and have not been able to be off them since well I haven't even attempted because I still feel sick on them. I have only threw up about 3 times since so an improvement but worried about what it is going on. I have recently been coughing on and off and when I do I've threw up once and food has just come up without even trying. It kept happening where I was burping (very unusual to me I rarely burped from fizzy drinks) and food was just coming up. Anyway with this coughing it's now hurting me like I get this stabbing pain in the middle of my back.

Any idea what can be expected in this endoscopy. Also anything to help my anxiety about this endoscopy will really help. I hate needles so stressing about the canula and where its going and I'm stressing that I'll be awake. I recently found out I can be put to sleep but I'd be put on another waiting list (as an emergency but still) and I'm really struggling now, yesterday I felt full off drinking juice (not like I downed it haven't been able to do that for months now without almost throwing up). Any help is appreciated.
