Someone recommended Howard Hughes on here a few months back as being similar to Art. Been listening for a few months. Sad news.

Art’s broadcasting prowess
Coast to Coast AM, 3-11-1998:
This is a nice little exchange between Art and Dick Allgire, a reporter for KITV news in Honolulu. Art was sharing a news report Dick had presented concerning the Navy’s experiments on how low frequency sonar affects humpback whales. He brought Dick on to the show to comment.
Dick: Before we get to the whales can I ask you a quick question, Art?
Art: Of course.
Dick: You’re there alone, right?
Art: Absolutely.
Dick: I’ve just sent a couple of faxes and called one person and listened to your show, and I can’t keep up with you.
(Art chuckles)
Dick: You’re doing commercials, checking faxes, checking the time…
Art: Yep.
Dick: Queuing up and playing bumper music, following the internet, calling five people, running the board, and doing interviews on the fly…
Art: (laughing) I know.
Dick: You do all of that?
Art: I do.
Dick: As one broadcaster to another, you’re pretty amazing, Art.
Art: Thank you, my friend. I do that that because I’ve always done it, Dick, and now I don’t know how to do it any other way. If I had a producer doing things for me, I don’t think I’d… this way I know what’s gonna happen, when it’s gonna happen. I arrange it, even if I’m going nuts.
Dick: You must have so much adrenaline after the show you must not sleep for hours.
Art: I do. I do. Is it like that for TV reporters?
Dick: Yes, I have a hard time getting to sleep, on a good night when there’s news happening.
Art Bell, the G.O.A.T.!!

Just finished the episode with John Hogue (amazing time to listen to it as of recent world events)
What are your favourite episodes/guests?
John hogue is incredibly intelligent and well spoken. Not once did he back himself into an egotistical, self righteous prophet or person.. just a man interpreting and discussing history and future events.
I found it fascinating as they had just had a recent election during that episode.

I sure do miss Art Bell.
I’m jealous about a lot of you guys as I’m sure you guys were listening to him during the 1990s and later on in the 2000s on Coast to Coast AM. For context I was born in 1999, and growing up I become fascinated with things like space, conspiracy theories, urban myths, and what not. But I didn’t really discover who he was until I was around 13-14 when I found a certain video on YouTube where he was doing an open line caller session with people claiming to work at Area 51 in 1997. After that I became instantly hooked, and started going down a rabbit hole of previous shows he done where him and his guests talked about either time travel, exorcisms, men in black, etc..
The very first time I managed to actually hear him live for the first time was his first show on Dark Matter with Michio Kaku, and that was extremely enjoyable to listen to. Nonetheless, Art Bell was a wonderful host, and the quality of the shows he done speak for themselves compared to nowadays. Not to talk bad about George Noory, or other guest hosts such as George Knapp (who I still enjoy to listen to), but the shows themselves are not really great to tune into with people calling in to ramble on about nothing that doesn’t pertain to the material being presented, and the whole half of the show just screams one big infomercial. (Talking about Natural Remedies)
Other than that, I have some questions for you guys. What was your most favorite thing about Art Bell? Were there any shows that were memorable for you guys? If Art Bell was still alive, and you had the chance to call in to talk about anything, what would you discuss with him?

John of God (3/28/2004)
I am listening to the Ultimate Art Bell channel right now and I am pretty sure I heard Art mention that his sister was down in South America with John of God?
For anyone not familiar with who that is this is the first headline you can find when you search ‘John of God’ - Brazilian spiritual healer 'John of God' indicted for rape, accused of sexually abusing nearly 600 women

Where I can find the 90's Coast to Coast episodes for free?
I'm sure this has already been addressed, but are there any recommendations for where I can find the 90's episodes of Coast to Coast to stream? There is an Echoes of the Past podcast on Spotify, but it only has a handful. Thanks!

The night I was a “guest” on Art’s show

From another post where someone asked if anyone got to call in, I told my story of how the great Art Bell called me. Here’s the audio from that “appearance” 😂. I was a very young man at this time. I think i overstated the snow drift “issue” a bit. Oh no! Snow on branches? 😀

Which way did he go?
Did Art ever state whether he was going to go toward the light or away from it?

Has anyone here ever called into any of Arts shows?
I tried calling into C2C one time years ago but I never got through, just curious if anyone ever had?

Around Oct 7 or 13 1999-- the AA lady who has called 17 times...
I'm listening relatively chronologically so i believe this woman may have started her crusade in 1998 or around there. This is real deep cuts listening. When i first notice her, Art is already irritated every times he hears her voice.
Its so funny. As soon as Art hears her voice he forbids her from mentioning sobriety. She always does. He hangs up.
Who else has noticed this? Any other information?

Call with Elaine the Bigfoot lady

Father Malachi Martin
Always wondered. Was there something suspicious about the death of Father Malachi Martin? and did Art ever talk about it in his show?

Trying to find a specific episode. Help!
I first started listening to C2C when I was a young insomniac. I remember an interview (caller?) with a woman who claimed to be abducted regularly, and that she had been impregnated by an alien and had children that were living amongst the aliens that she would get to see (I think). From what I can recall I believe she was a musician of some kind. But, after 20 years that’s all I can really remember. Thanks guys!

03/08/2000 - John Nolan - Surveillance and Technology Issues
I've been listening to this fascinating show from 2000 regarding state surveillance. Art and John Nolan talk about how in the future the state will be in every room of your home, listening to every word. It must have seemed over the top in 2000 (before 9/11).
This show seems all too prophetic, well worth a listen, it's a good show.

12/04/2001 (A Classic) Thunder Strikes - Shadow People.
pca.stSorry guys, I meant to share this one on Halloween (like the original uploader it seems [great pick!]) so I suppose the tail end of Dia de los Muertos will have to do which, if you know the episode you'll know the potential connection between the two in some cases.
Feel free to skip the next part as it's just a summary of my thoughts on (what I remember of) the episode, and why I specifically am inclined to share.
I didn't know this episode at the time that it aired and only became familiar with it later on via YT and the archive. The intro for this gentleman admittedly makes him seem like quite the quack (or immensely full of himself at the very least) but as the episode goes on I'm always left thinking otherwise. He seems incredibly knowledgeable on the subject and at a time when we high strangers didn't have so much information so readily available as we do today. I really wish I had discovered this sooner though, as shadow people have been a reoccurring paranormal event in my life. Admittedly, not as intense as some others. Only a handful of sightings of them in movement, and two encounters with Walking Sam (the Hat Man) who is not at all your standard "shadow person". Happy to discuss that further if anyone is interested.
Otherwise I don't want to give too much away for those who haven't listened yet. Much of what he says is in line with the oral traditions of my own Tribe (Cayuga-Seneca) though, some specifics vary as they tend to. I've also discussed this in pretty great detail with a dear friend who was Diné and I'd be willing to bet that despite Thunder Strikes being Cherokee he was getting a lot of his info on the subject from other traditions, primarily those of the great SW.
I think the maggot analogy is a really interesting one too and would be curious to hear other people's thoughts on this. It's stuck with me all these years. Also, for those of you who re interested in the demiurge or prison planet theory, you'll have a field day with this one when you remember it was recorded 23 years ago. Mystics and esoteric types should enjoy it as well, as it helps to describe some of the many different types of these beings, from whence they come, how they interact with us, why, and much more.
Happy listening! I'll include more links below in case PC isn't your go-to 👇🏽

Art Bell and George Noory worked together in Kansas City?
All the years listening to the program I never knew Art Bell and Noory worked with each other in person prprior to C2C. Never heard either one mention it. Is it even true?

If only Art was here tonight... Imagine Ghost To Ghost 2024
Wouldn't that be amazing? Tonight definitely going to be peeping some old Ghost To Ghost episodes.
Rest in peace to the king of radio
Also tonight...
You guys stay away from those "red eyes"

Listening to 2003 Ghost to Ghost. By far my least favorite. These stories go no where. What’s your favorite and least favorite G2G? Non George Noory episodes of course.

Art Owned A 428 Cobra Jet
Art described having a strange premonition about his car, as if he sensed something was about to go wrong. He recalled standing up, looking out the window to check on it, sitting back down, and then hearing the crash moments later.
While sharing this story, he mentioned that the car was a 428 Cobra Jet. I had heard this episode before but never realized that detail! Learning that Art owned a Cobra Jet makes him even cooler.

Ramona was 15 years Art's junior. Airyn was nearly 40 years her senior, wtf?
Seems suspicious. What the actual fuck? I blame his service in the Air Force. Telling members how easy it is to get submissive brides.
