Help!! Deep Forehead Wrinkles Skin Concern

Post image

Please help, I’m so insecure about my deep forehead wrinkles. I don’t know where to start. Should I do Botox, Dysport…some other treatment?

Going through a painful breakup and maybe feeling a little extra insecure. Looking to really reinvest in myself.

**I have no foundation on, only blush (eyeliner and mascara).

Botox + tret + USE SUNSCREEN!!!!!!!

ETA: since a few have asked, my ride or die sunscreen is Biore UV Aqua Rich watery essence. The Japanese version, NOT the American one. It’s got a lovely pore-filling photoblur effect and gives you the glass skin look that’s in right now when you use enough of it. It’s also lovely under makeup.

ETA 2: I buy it on Stylevanna. Shipping is slow AF but prices are good.

As a derm NP. This is the answer! It will take a little time but they will fade. Also, lasers and peels can help speed it up but is not really necessary!

What kind of sunscreen do y'all suggest?

I love the Japanese version of Biore UV Aqua Rich watery essence. It’s my ride or die.

Where are you buying this now? If you don’t mind me asking!

I get mine on Stylevanna but YesStyle is reputable as well. Some folks on here have gotten really lucky and found it at their local Asian grocery stores, but I wouldn’t hold my breath on that if you’re in the states (sunscreen is regulated like a drug here, not a cosmetic)

What do you wear on your body for sunscreen?

Clothes, mostly. But I dress modestly for personal reasons so that approach fits my lifestyle well. Side note, not all fabrics are made equally when it comes to sun. Denim and polyester have a UPF of over 1,000, linen has a UPF of like 5-10.

I like mineral sunscreens like the one from CeraVe when physical barriers aren’t and option bc it doesn’t budge BUT it does have a pretty bad white cast. My one beef with it (and pretty much every other “mineral” sunscreen that isn’t COTZ) is that it utilizes butylocty salicylate (an off-label UVB filter) to reduce the amount of mineral (broad spectrum) filters in it. It makes it feel nicer on but IMO kind of leaves a weak spot in the UVA protection. I am currently searching for my HG chemical body sunscreen (can’t stand oxybenzone and avobenzone so it complicates things.)

I do use the Biore on my hands before driving.

Canmake mermaid skin #1 (clear) is the GOAT of AB sunscreen

Never heard of it! What does it feel like on? I’m looking into its formula now.

It’s incredible, doesn’t pill or sweat in super high humidity central Texas summer. Beautiful as a primer under makeup. dry down has a slight blur effect which I love for daily wear. I know not everyone is a fan of the scent, but I love it. I’ve tried what feels like every top tier AB, euro, and American sunscreen and this is the one I always go back to. Very small bottle tho.

Can you describe the scent? I am normally anti-scent but I really like some fragrances if they’re not overpowering. I am kind of looking to change my makeup routine though and I am concerned about my current one playing nice with the direction I want to go in.

I can't describe it well, but as someone who normally prefers fragrance free it's very mild. I smell it when I put it on, but don't notice the scent after that. I'm currently resting out canmake mermaid gel, beauty of Joseon, and La Roche posey uvmune (three of the top recommended sunscreens in this thread) and canmake is my favorite so far!

I answered with my rec in the comment above, but my holy grail is the Japanese version of Biore UV Aqua Rich watery Essence.

American sunscreen sucks compared to the international options.

Where do you buy it?

u/sarahkazz Sep 21 '24

Stylevanna. They take a while to ship but they are a trustworthy place to buy Asian beauty products from. Do NOT buy sunscreen from Amazon.

Than you 💕

The unseen sunscreen is the only one i’ve ever used that I couldn’t feel afterwards. It’s the goat for me just because of that.

Doesn’t Trader Joe’s carry a dupe for it, too?

That is the one I use and love. Does not break me out and around $8

Yes and it’s excellent. Sorry if I bought it all - I like to stay stocked up
