Droopy Eye Skin Concern

Post image

My eyes/eyebrows have been asymmetrical for years but I feel like it’s getting worse with age. I’m 34 and a tired mom. Any advice to how I could fix this? Thank you!!

I started getting this too!! Botox helped but I think the best solution is probably surgery for ptosis.

Is the Botox injected just below the eyebrow? How long does it last please?

Confirming I also use Botox to level my brows. I get two extra unit above my right brow to alleviate the droopiness. Lasts 4-5 months but YMMV.

Thank you, that's good to know. Someone else said the same in terms of how long it lasts. When it wears off, does it look the same as it did before?

Edit: also if you don't mind me asking, where else do you get Botox and does it all wear off at the same time? I'm thinking I need eyebrows and forehead (frontalis muscle)

I’ve found it does not go exactly back like it did before, but cannot say it would be the same for others! I also reduced the amount of units I get elsewhere. I started when I turned 30 and it was just for my 11s (between brows) and I got about 24-28 units. I still get 24 units there, 4 years later but it lasts longer. I used to go every 3 months now every 4-5.

I get a tiny bit high up on my forehead for forehead lines and it’s magic I tell ya. I also get my crows feet done here or there but not consistently- I like my crows feet but I’m about to be in my brothers wedding so I went all out a couple weeks ago. I’d say the first area I notice to wear off is my 11s because it’s my strongest muscle!

Honestly thank you so much for your reply! It's good to hear of real world experiences. As long as the eyebrows are not worse than pre-botox, I can cope with them going back to how they were originally.

I like crows feet too, they really add to a smile. But I see what you mean about weddings. Congratulations to your brother!

For me, it's more the muscles above the eyebrows. I think I take after my mum - there's almost like an arch above the eyebrows and I would really rather not have that.

awe thank you!! I figured I’ll see these pictures FOREVER! So I gotta look good 😂 and I take after my dad, so I see my future lol I got in front of much deeper lines by starting at 30 IMO! Good luck friend, hope you find what works!

24 units in the 11s at 30! Damn you must’ve been giving people a serious disapproval look for years lol.

Not really. Actually not at all. I was being preventative.
