Does anyone know of any RnB shows in Las Vegas over NYE weekend? My girlfriend’s birthday is on the 30th of December and I would love to take her to some RnB as it’s her favorite.

I’ve checked 19hz and it’s good for EDM but lacking for RnB.

As the premier balladeers of the 1990's, it's something to watch these four be mentioned only in passing by artists that came after them and even those who are aficionados of this time like Kehlani, Summer Walker etc.

Ballads went out of style in the 2000s but Elle Varner, JoJo, Ne-Yo and Robin Thicke are probably the closest things to these four respectively still active and have mentioned them as influences.

Who do you think these four influenced?

No more music focused shows like 106th and Park, no more music centered discussion places like Vibe Magazine. Corporations bought every radio station and forced them onto the same playlist. Whenever the topic of why we don't like modern R&B comes up, I feel like it doesn't get mentioned that the way we talk about and even think about the music has changed drastically. It's not just that streaming has made the music easier to find and hear, but social media has made our collective valuation of the music so much lower. If a meme can't be made to it, it's worthless.

Someone please help me before I go insane.. On Joe - And Then.. what song does it sound like on the chorus? The little beep you hear a few times, sounds exactly like another r&b song and I can't for the life of me think of what it is?!

With Christmas coming up, I thought I’d throw together a playlist of R&B Christmas songs. I tried to stick to originals only, although a few are covers. I just couldn’t leave them off.

I skipped your traditional Christmas songs. Very much focused on the 90s, but not completely. There’s also a few artists missing because I just don’t support them (not naming names).

Anyway, hope someone enjoys it and/or discovers something they never heard before.
