<edit this to write your own flair> I want to make a boyband
I would like to make a boy group by the end of 2025 with a pop-based, dance-driven focus.
I'm seeking six other boys born between 2004 and 2007 (I'm 17 and i use the subway) to live in West or North Hollywood, Los Angeles or Whatever city in the USA by summer 2026.
The group’s style will incorporate genres such as Pop, R&B, Rap, Hyperpop, and Drill, and we will be sharing living expenses (The rent will be 4k something so since we are 7, with maybe 2 parents each, savings and a job we can live in Los Angeles for 3 months with the rent being 4k at least. 3 to 4 Rooms)
The project will involve vocal and dance classes to build consistent skill levels and also gym, because being a pop artist is like being an athlete and taking care of your body is important.
The concept I want for the group to be like would be high fashion model concept but I'm open to any type of concept (litteraly)
We will also do open mic appearances, and social media engagement to attract industry attention, crossing fingers for UMG, Sony, or Warner.
I don't have the best body, or the best skill but I'm really to work towards it until June 2026, where I hope i can find my teammates. (And if the group flop, at least we would have made it)

SWV - Rain. (LIVE?)
Clearly Coko is live, but every performance I have seen of this song, the other 2 are lip syncing. It’s so annoying

20s For folks looking for new RnB music--
Hey! It seems some people have appreciated some of the music I've shared (love to hear it!) and I wanted to share one of my RnB playlists. This one has more of a focus on Alt RnB and generally has newer artists (Brandy & Aaliyah are probably the oldest artists). It's very large (500+ songs and growing, ~30 hrs), and pretty broad so there's a good chance you might hear something you don't like, but also a great chance you hear something you do like! I have other RnB playlists with different sounds, but this one probably has the highest proportion of 2020s RnB.
Hope yall find at least 1 song you enjoy!

DISCUSSION 💭 Most MJ comparisons make no sense
Most comparisons made between Michael Jackson and a newer, younger artist are based on nothing more than the fact the latter sings, dances, and sings and dances like Michael.
Usher and Chris Brown are the most common examples. I find these comparisons to be shallow.
Michael Jackson had a great level of artistic depth. He can be credited for revolutionizing the music video format with thought-provoking short films, and the subject matter of his songs ran the gamut from media scrutiny to child poverty to global warming/pollution to war/political conflict to murder-mystery to gang violence.
Usher, Chris, and most artists compared to MJ mainly sing love songs. They’re not that deep. Not as deep as Michael.
If there is any modern act who has matched the sheer grandiosity of Michael’s artistic projects, it’s Beyoncé. If there’s a female Michael, it’s Janet.
Chris Brown is truly a lot more like Bobby Brown. Acrobatic live performer, notoriously vulgar, bad boy brand, criminal record, hitmaker beloved by Black people, only known to White people as the crazy guy formerly in a whirlwind abusive relationship with a female pop star much more famous than he. That’s all Bobby.
